Cargo passthrough

Sorry if this has been asked before.
If the top is up, can you lay the rear seats down and get cargo passthrough from the trunk into the passenger area?

No. Rear seats are fixed in convertible. Pretty much any convertible.

Not all convertibles...
The Buick/Opel Cascada has rear seats that fold down.

I had hoped the Camaro's would too before I learned the cold, hard truth.

How about any convertible with a chance of having good chassis rigidity has fixed rear seats. Every european convertible I've ever seen for example even if the coupe version has folding seats.

Thanks for the info. It's not a deal breaker either way. My 95 Trans Am had passthrough which came in handy now and then.

I'll give you that, as my 2006 PTCruiser convertible had pass through.

Anyone one know what the strange looking keyhole behind the rear seats is for? Trunk latch for when battery is dead?

Yes - or self destruct switch as was mentioned in another discussion on this topic

There is a key extender in your glovebox (or trunk depending on your dealer) that is used to give you leverage when you use that keyhole.....

Yeah, I found the key extender left in my cup holder after the dealership finally managed to fix my convertible top.

Sad part was the service rep didn't know what it was used for. I had to Google it, and finally found it mentioned on this forum before I realized that it was mine and not a piece the service tech left behind.

Does anyone happen to have a picture of the key extender? I can't recall ever seeing it. I bought my car in another state and had it shipped to me, and there were a few things...not... done... long story for another time :/

Pic 1: This is what the key extender looks like.

Pic 2: Haven't used it yet but figure this may be how its used with the key.

Pic 3: Looking inside the extender only creates more questions than answers. ;-)
