Well, a little update:
PWC Blackdog was able to collect the team championship, but didn’t manage a drivers championship in either GTS or GTS-AM Sprint (Lawson, in 2nd, was 7-points off from topping Sofronas/GMG in the Audi R8 GT4 and Tony, in 3rd, was 29-points from first). Robinson Racing is new to the PWC and switched to the Camaro mid-way through, so I won’t get into their results. CTSCC Laguna was another action-packed race for all GT4 teams. A full-course caution caused by one of the McLarens 3/4 through the first drivers stint caused some interesting pitting choices. In the end, the Rebel Rock crew brought the Camaro to a 12th place finish, after fighting amidst 4-5-6-7 most of the race (where a lot of racing action was). One race left at Road Atlanta. European GT4 This is the last race weekend for the series at Nürburgring. This is the first race for the Mustang GT4 outside of the US. The car did not finish Race 1. The two Camaros finished 18th and 30th (45 entries). |

Does anyone follow the GT4 European Series close?
The two Camaro's race in PRO/AM (GT4ES has SILVER, PROAM and AM GT4 divisions). The #18 car is driven by Wolf Nathan, with a co-driver of either Jelle Beelen, "J. Grogor" or Nicky Pastorelli. It seems, the races where Jelle Beelen was the co-driver, the car never finishes the first lap of the first race or the car doesn't do as well. If Patorelli or "J. Grogor" (I cannot find any information on this driver) are co-driver's the car does very well in PROAM (top 5 contender). Just wondering what was going on with the car, if it is the car's fault or Beelen's? The other car, the #9 is a top 10 contender. I just got around to watching these races (geo-blocked for some reason). |

Back to this side of the pond: Petite LeMans: Road Atlanta. Going into next weekend's race (and final race for the 2018 CTSCC season), Camaro is getting a weight reduction of 35kg (77.16lb), an increase in restrictor size of 2mm, an increase in fuel capacity of 4.0L (SportsCar365 reports 2.0L, but the BoP file says otherwise) and an increase in their fuel restrictor of 2mm. Was for Laguna Seca ---> Now for Road Atlanta 1495kg ---> 1460kg 58mm ---> 60mm 77.0L ---> 81.0L 23.0mm ---> 25mm These are fairly significant adjustments. To me, I think the power increase that will come from the restrictor size increase and the fuel system increase make sense for the car. But, I am not sure the Camaro needs that much weight reduction, as the car was already fairly in-line with the other cars and seemed to do fine with tire wear. https://sportscar365.com/imsa/ctscc/...ets-bop-break/ CTSCC BOP 10.03.18 CTSCC BOP 08.30.18 |

Starting 8th for Road Atlanta. Let's see how this goes for the Rebel Rock guys.
Also, they are showing off their #2 car for the 2019 season on display, the #72. |

Unless Rebel Rock decides to do the Michelin Encore at Sebring in November (I hope they do - to see them race and for their own sake in running the new tires), this thread is at a season close.
Road Atlanta: Rebel Rock showed great pace and pole potential, but ended up in a few incidents of “argy-bargy” and ending up pulling out of the race with 25 minutes left due to steering damage (according to Robin Liddell). I originally thought it was a brake failure of the left front, due to a fire needing to be extinguished in the wheel well, but it appears that either is not the case or not the main cause. I’m not sure what was going on with the #82 Bimmerworld M4 GT4 Team, especially James Clay (his line going into T6, that caused him to hit the #71 was very strange), but they were excessively aggressive towards the Camaro, Mustangs and the #28 Porsche. Nor, the #80 Mustang that literally pushed the #71 off track at T11. Last edited by Mountain; 10-26-2018 at 11:42 AM. Reason: Update on DNF |

Big bump to this thread. The 2020 season should be very interesting as there will be 3 GT4.Rs racing in IMSA! TGM has switched to Camaro from AMG (the bought the Robinson cars). Rebel Rock is returning with Liddell and Depew.
So far, only the #64 car’s livery has is done/has been shown. Looks like a VERY shiny HMB ZL1 1LE. |
