2018 Camaro Sales Horrible

Not sure if I should still buy a leftover 2018. Mustangs sales are barely down, and Camaros sales have cratered. Im getting good trade value on my 14 for an 18, but what does the future hold ?? Is there another thread that discusses this fully? The year I bought my 2014, Camaro was king. It's been downhill ever since. Thanks Dorothy

Maybe its me but I could give a flip about how a car sells? I mean if you like the Camaro and you want a Camaro would the sales figures make you not purchase one? I actually love the fact that I dont see a Camaro at every stinking stoplight I pull up too like i do with a Mustang. 6th Gen is a completely different animal from the 5th gen and thats in a good way.

The less they make the more valuable they become in the future if you still have one.
I wish they were limited production like the COPO

If a car isn’t popular in the new car market, then I’d expect it to be just as unpopular in the used car market. If you don’t keep a car long it will be harder to trade out of and a dealer will just want to whosale it and put less money in it on trade. Depreciation appears higher on a Camaro fron the discussions I’ve seen posted

I kind of agree with you. It’s hard to figure how my 2014 Camaro Convertible 2LT RS could list for $38,750 & a 2018 where I have to buy a convenience group to get HUD, is $46,000. I know I get a few other goodies with that group, plus I’d have Apple Car Play, but maybe that’s part of the problem. My 2014 has under 30,000 miles and new tires (6 months ago) Even if I get 20% off on a leftover 18, is going to cost me over $20,000 to trade. Tough decision here. Dorothy

Sales numbers might be down but I flat out love my 18 2SS. It is one gorgeous, fast, fun ride. Every time I get out of it, I can't wait to get back in. I have had both a 15 Mustang GT and a 16 Challenger Scat Pack. So, I have now had all three and the Camaro is hands down the best of the 3. It has it all: Looks, torque, blazing fast acceleration, handling, good comfort, and plenty of bells and whistles with the 2SS trim.

I would just keep your low mile 5th Gen Vert. Also, there was a substantial price reduction on the 2LT for 2019 so I would definetly compare pricing....
