I've been less and less impressed with Escorts offerings over the last few years. So I started looking at other options. After a bit of research I'm really likening what Redenso is putting out. Great reviews and very consistent as a fantastic all-around (city/highway) detector. Trying to decide between the XP or the Pro SE. it will be going on a Blendmount with Mirror Tap. Best mount available.

Is one or the other better in southern California? Not sure what detectors are used here

Valentine1 has been 360 for YEARS! And is upgradable, with a new 1yr warranty when upgraded. All the others... pitch in the trash in a few rs and buy another.

I've used the V1 for about a year now and I like it. I had it hardwired in my Camry, but haven't had the change to hardwire into my new Camaro. Does anyone here have the V1 hardwired? It was much easier in the Camry since the fuses were below the steering wheel. Having trouble figuring out how to wire it since I need the Bluetooth and secondary display connected as well. Too many wires at play.

One reason I didn't get the V1 was all of these connections - trying to use it with YaV1 and having a bluetooth dongle to deal with would be a pain, especially if I want to move it between cars.

At the time I bought everything it didn't matter, but since the fuses are in the engine bay it makes wiring the accessories a nightmare.

There's at least 10 posts about this...Max 360 with a Blendmount.

I have been using escort 360 max for 7 months. Has saved me a time or two. Had it hard wired in. Really like the directional arrows. Very good distance for alerts. Only thing that wont save you is if they are running laser.

My oldest points are 2 from March, 2016. I'm counting down to the two year anniversary, since I think they drop off the insurance company's radar after that.

I'm trying to lay low, but it's not easy in this car. It's like trying to tell King Kong to just sit there and have a banana.

I wasn't trying to ignite an Escort vs V1 debate. I'm more interested on how to mount it effectively and securely.

I hate suction cup mounts because the marks just scream "break into my car and get a free radar detector".

The Blend Mount is new to me, but looks interesting.

Yes, the blend mount is very nice! I'm waiting for my headliner to be replaced before hardwiring my V1 (with V1 connect) to my mirror. Wish Mirror Tap would offer a kit with two outlets, but I'll just solder on another connector - minor pain to deal with to have the Bluetooth programming, etc, capabilities.

Look at what is used primarily in your state (Lidar is big in GA, Ohio is the only state that still uses X band, etc) and decide from there based on professional reviews. Radar Roy is a good place to check out videos on range and features.
Yea, I did a banzai run up the I-5 to Seattle a week ago. Waze showed all the cars that were off to the shoulder (and the annoying Waze voice took over the radio that I had to manually intervene to get the radio playing again every time), but the few state troopers I saw were not in any reported locations showing on Waze. In between Portland & Seattle, it's fertile ground for the troopers.

You can make Waze use your phone speaker instead - look under settings.

Waze can only be as good as the users. Generally if I see a warning where there's no trooper I update it for the next person.

I know what you mean. In Maryland the points drop off after 3 years.
