Camaro Least Reliable Car In America?

This came up in my Google cards since ya know, Google always watching what I look at and talk about *cough*.

Anyway, I have a hard time believing this article and wanted to see what all of you think? I had a 2016 2SS, for about 10 months and 15k miles. Lost it to hurricane Harvey, ugh. Still looking for a replacement 2 years later. Anyway, I never had a single problem and was not exactly easy on the car.

I have a 2016 2SS M6 brought brand new. I actually ordered it. Now it has 50,000 miles. The only issue I had was my windshield washing sprayer went out. Now I am having an issue with my started but that's because it's cooking. I'm gonna get it replaced under extended warranty and them wrap the exhaust and the started in heat shielding.

Lies i tell you, LIES. Bought my '16 1SS M6 used 16 months ago. It's my DD and I have put 36K miles on it in that time. Had the issue with the rear shaft bolts coming out because they were too short but other than that it's been a great car. I caught the bolts before any damage happened.

I think Consumer Reports has agendas and biases. I don't trust them at all.

Awesome. The only worse was the Colorado. Which I also own.
I dunno I’ve had my Camaro 3.5 years. Never had a single issue with it.
I’ve had Colorado’s (2 now) for 4 years. Never had a single issue.

Maybe ford payed them for This !!

Didn't see any specific information about how they collected the reliability data. I don't really trust Consumer reports anyway. I'd love to see the "data" here.

Toyota paid for this with CR's Toyota stock investments. CR has owned Toyota stocks since the early 70s when Toyota was allowed to begin dumping cars on American shores just in time for the Fake oil crisis, and just after Nixon took us off the Gold standard. It was the initial beginning of the sell off of America. Notice how inflation began to sky rocket shortly after being removed from the gold standard. A candy bar average price from the 1920s to early 1970s averaged about 5-10 cents. Very little inflation at all. By the mid 70s inflation began to rise each year. That 5-10 cent candy is about $1.50 now and rising.

Lost my 2017 to Harvey as well. Sucked. Drove a truck for about a year, then got back into a Camaro with my 2018. Imelda tried to sink that one too, but I was smart enough to get it on jack stands the second time around.

I have had good luck with consumer reports in the past (circa 2000). Bought a 2001 Acura Type S based off their data. It was bullet proof. I sold it with 200,000 miles on it and had not replaced a single thing. Still had factory clutch.
They changed somewhere over the past 10 years or so. I consider it useless data anymore.

yeah, i'm not going give a subscriber survey from consumer reports much weight. There scale is funny. The Camaro has a one digit reliability rating vs a Lexus at 98, a Camaro must be more than 10X worse, run away!!! I'm not disputing that toyotas are more reliable, but i do take issue with how significant that is. If i have to go to the dealer twice in 5 years, and a camry owner goes only once, you could say my Camaro is twice as unreliable, but is that significant?

I think a jdpower was average for the Camaro
