bose rear deck speakers 19 ZLE

has anyone with this setup turned the fader back to listen to just the rear deck speakers by themselves? mine sound blown or shorted out and the car is new and has never been cranked up. something is not right with mine and i was wandering if anyone else had this happen? the fronts and balanced out sounds great but the rears sound terrible by themselves. i just happened to try this to see if i could improve the rears or add a sub and found there is hardly any sound and what is coming out is static. thx

The system sucks. 75k got us the performance. You’ll have to upgrade ot go to an M5 and pay 120k. There is only so much they can give us at 75k.

I don't know an insane amount about car audio but I have been dealing with my 19 with bose for months and finally a product just came out called Nav T.V AVB GM. This interface allows you to add speakers, amps ect.. and doesn't interfere with the advanced system. It is my understanding that you could add a sub or a sub plus amp but to add speakers as well you are going to need this part then you can replace all or just the rear and add a sub with amp

This is NOT normal operation for the rear speakers in the Bose system. They definitely receive less power than the fronts and doors, but it should still sound normal, not "static."

But if he fades to rear the rear side panels should still produce sound as well as the deck 6x9's

I have a 19ss and my Bose system rocks. The rear speakers sound great. The Nav T.V AVB GM. looks pretty bad ass lil pricy.faily easy to install since the amp is in the trunk.

I am surprised that NAV-TV came out with the AVB version so fast....and i agree ...much easier to install in the trunk vs us 2016-2018 that had to get to the radio module behind the glove box. and the plus is you can get rid of the bose amp...

might be pricey...but for a clean signal its worth it....i spent way more than that for my DSP when i first did my system...added the nav-TV this year ..

So i went and listened to it again and it still sound low and not good quailty like the fronts but no static, i must have been on a bad channel.
i am hoping the next time someone gets in there 19 ZLE they check out the rear speakers and report back here. mine sound no where near what the fronts are putting out, seems like a waste to even put those speakers back there, i would hope they sound close to the fronts but they dont. a better option might be to tap into the rear speaker wires to run an amp and 2- 12" subs. has anyone tried this yet?

If the 2019 Bose speaker setup is the same as the 2016/17...best place to tap for subs is off the door 6x9 speakers...those are also sub/woofers and actually same part number as the 6x9 rear deck...

The Bose system definitely routes most of the power to the front. Probably something like an 80/20 split. The rear speakers are there for "rear fill," in the audio designer's jargon.
There have been a lot of good upgrades done here which will you which speaker signals to use for upgrades. Don't throw any money at parts until you read through a few builds here.
