transmission shudder, rear diff groan, rear body Creaking nosie

Bought my 2017 2ss a few month ago used with only 24k km and boy did I not expect to have so many issues with a relatively new car. Noticed shudder in the transmission however it was happening so rare that it would be impossible to reproduce in front of a dealer mechanic. I called the dealership and ofcourse they told me they wont do anything until they can reproduce the problem......big shocker there. I ended up replacing the fluid myself, 2 weeks later and no issues so far.

Also noticed rear diff is making groan sound for the past 2 month when just starting the car and making a turn. And now for the past 2 weeks Im having an annoying creaking sound coming from the rear of the car, you can easily reproduce it by holding break and moving from reverse to drive and back and forth.
very disappointed with the quality of this car! does any body knows a dealership here in greater Toronto area that specializes in camaro and is very well aware of all these issues?

I have a friend who had that creaking noise, I would check your axle shaft bolts since they were loose and ready to shear off on his car

I believe there are TSB' on both the transmission and rear end issues you described. I have a 2017 that had both of the above and they were fixed under warranty. The trans got a new Torque Converter and the Rear end got a flush job. Both repairs fixed the issues we were having.

to add to the list of problems, when I remote started the car this morning it shut off after few seconds. I remote started it again and it did it again, It was close to -10 c. is it normal in these temps to shut off on remote start after few seconds?

This.

You mentioned you flushed the trans and added the new fluid yourself, are you sure you used the correct one (blue Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP, GM part number 19417577)? The TSB calls for a special flush machine to fully remove the old fluid, so doing it in one's garage is a bit dicey.

No, it isn't normal. Did the check engine light come on? If yes, what were the codes? Honestly, if you bought it certified pre-owned or have a dealer warranty, I'd simply document the issues on video and take it in. Sorry, I don't know the exact details of how warranties work in Canada.

Yeah I used the latest Mobil 1 ATF. I will drain and refill again when the temperature outside gets nicer again. At least that way it will be 75% new fluid, then Ill do it again the following year.

No check engine lights or anything. haven't had this issue again, but then the temps weren't as low.

I have an appointment with the dealer tomorrow, will see what these useless bunch will have to say.

I see, that's probably the best you can do without the dealer equipment. Hopefully the torque converter isn't damaged yet.

Good luck man, hope they'll pull their *** together and come through for you.

shudder

buddy take your car to budds in oakville, you don't have to reproduce the shudder just mention your car has the problem and they will do the flush for you under warranty..ask for the service manager Shane.

awesome! thanks for the info.

I brought the car to a dealership here at Brampton for rear differential sound issues and popping sounds that was coming out of the rear wheels area. Turned out left rear forward control arm was loose together with 5 other suspension bolts that where loose. Turned out the last owner installed 2 lowering springs for the rear wheels, with that said I had to pay for the repairs. And of course when it came to the rear differential sounds I was told with a typical reply of "its a normal sound".

just finished replacing my rear differential fluid. it was short by 1/2 a liter of oil. GM " that's a normal sound" really GM? Im missing half a liter and you are telling me its a normal sound? I always said if you want to do something just do it yourself.
