I kick myself for selling my 2016 SS 6 speed manual. I will be keeping the '22 SS I have coming soon. Traded the '16 for a 2019 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss pick-up, love that truck. Well the Camaro will be a third car, keeping the truck and then my wife has a Silverado also. The new Camaro will be a good weather only car....weekends, not my daily driver.

Can't wait for that Camaro to show up!!!!

No way I'm selling my pampered but not garage queen Gen5 2SS (70,000+ miles). I would have had a Gen6 by now if not for COVID, but now, I would not consider selling my 2010, a personal asset...not in financial terms, but as an irreplaceable fun car that I will keep until new cars can be ordered at MSRP or less.

I hear the same argument about spending vs saving. Theoretically unless your income in nearing (math off the top of my head) $500K per year you probably should not be buying an $80K car, depending on other spending. You should be 401K or investing or.

ok, weird post over

With the money being printed as fast as it is who knows.
I keep hearing our 401ks could also be stolen.

My 2SS is paid off and I was considering a 2022 2SS 1LE but I may just hang onto mine for now. I was reading about the 1LE and it doesn't really serve a purpose for me since mine will never see a track. Plus, I'm house shopping so it doesn't really look good credit wise if I now have a recent car loan.

Not me. With premium at $5+/gallon here, I don’t miss it. Plus most of my SS driving was around town. I enjoyed the car for 2.5yrs and loved making a profit on the car (after taxes). I retired early and will take my 40mpg now any day.

Not to offend, serious question.. what are you doing here if you don't own a Camaro any longer?

I think he’s just here to troll at this point. I always see him make this smart*** post whenever given a chance. He probably should have never had a camaro in the first place given all his posts about being glad he got rid of the best performance car per dollar because of the amount of gas it burns/gas costs.

We're in a similar situation. I have a '15 2SS automatic convertible as a second vehicle. I'm having a small home built starting in February. Once it's completed, I plan to purchase a '22 or '23 2.0T manual coupe to replace my daily driver, but I won't pay above sticker. I'm hoping there's a refresh for the '23 model year.

I paid 37 for my SS brand new in '17. Vroom just sent me an offer 36k for it with 52k miles. It's official. She is going bye bye. Just have to find some stock wheels to swap on quickly.

Vroom certainly places a greater value on the sixth generation. I'm not selling, but I checked my '15 2SS automatic convertible Commemorative Edition with 18K miles. The sticker was $47K, I bought it new for $36K and they offered $30K.

He's right except that the ratio is ludicrous. By that standard, someone making 80k a year would be limited to a 13k car, which is silly and puts most cheapo Kia's out of reach.

Also, get off the propaganda streams. No one is stealing your 401k, anyone trying to convince you otherwise is certainly selling something even more ridiculous, even dangerous, as a justifiable remedy.

If he doesn’t miss it at all, he was never a true Camaro fan, plain and simple. I’ve had to sell previous Camaros before, for different reasons, but I always missed them, and I always came back to one. He sounds like a fun dude at parties. lol

2,700 miles? So you're saving it for someone else?
