Don’t listen to anyone about the look of the spare… or anything else negative. I like the way you’ve made it your own.

While I'd never do this on my car, I understand the concern and it fits the color theme of the car fairly well, plus it's removable, of course. Good work, OP.
Yep, it's for road trips...Although there's not much I can't do at 81...Finding and plugging a leak, or worse yet, having a blowout on a rainy, dark and dreary night in the middle of nowhere with no cell service...I like my idea,,,,

If you are going to post pictures, please make sure they are oriented properly.

In his defense, it's not trivial when some viewers support embedded orientation info (so he sees correctly rotated pictures on his machine or phone) while others, such as this prehistoric forum engine, don't... one has to strip this metadata from the pics, then rotate manually and repost them.

Spare tire anxiety.

At 81, i’m guessing you really don’t give a shit what anybody thinks, and that’s the way it should be! It’s called making your life easier and at the same time driving an awesome car.

Modern day continental kit. Hey, those were ugly too though.

Definitely a great idea for long trips, especially in Aussie where, in our great open spaces, you could be hundreds of miles from anywhere with a flat, which would be a real problem.
Yes, you can get the spare wheel kit from ( Addons is it?), but then, if it is your rear wheel which is flat, it will not fit in the trunk when removed, and nobody has yet to tell me whether the very wide & large ZL1 wheel (larger than SS) will fit in the boot or the rear seat, & if it doesn't what would you do with it?

I had a blowout on the 14. Had to put the top down and put it in the back seat.
