Eibach springs-Anyone regret getting them
Was set to get them installed today by the highest rated performance shop in my area. 30 min drive and forgot my wheel lock tool.
Now have to reschedule. Anyone have these springs or others and regret it? Pondering bagging the whole thing and saving the $$. Can return the springs minus shipping. Fyi, there's not a remote chance that I'd be doing the install myself. Thanks for any input.

When I was into fbodies, the Eibach springs were notorious for sagging over a short period of time. I ended up changing to BMR springs, i liked those much better on the fbody. On this 6th gen, i plan on staying OEM for the life of the car.

For my current FBody I run all Strano suspension. He is well known in the racing community and makes specific things for Fbodies. I am with Jax on this one, i plan on staying OEM for my 18 ZL1 as well.

I too am with Jax and cig in keeping my ZL1’s suspension stock! It’s already low enough with the OEM springs.

Is the gap about the same on the ZL1 and SS?

I have the Eibach springs, front and rear, on my non-1LE '18. I did do the install myself (wasn't too bad... but bad is a relative term, eh). I run them with 1le size wheels tires (285/30/20F and 305/30/20R) and had no rubbing or other issues. I did do the harness relocation, just to be safe. Had the springs installed for several months now, and a fresh alignment immediately after install of course. I like the new stance, the ride is a bit more stiff, and been to two track events since. No complaints or regrets for me.
Good luck on your decision. |

I was pleasantly surprised how low the stock ZL1 sits on oem suspension...once I removed the orange spacers the dealer had not removed before delivery. The passenger side catalytic converter cover scrapes on my driveway curb as it is. My previous Corvettes had more ground clearance.

I have no idea Staves but I do know that the ZL1s are lower in height as compared to the SS. I’m thinking about 1 1/2 inch difference but not sure. I have been parked next to an SS 1LE and my ZL1 was lower.

Your LT1 probably didn’t come with the spacers due to the increased height of the front end as compared to the ZL1 and SS 1LEs front splitter height.

cig, if the front end of your ZL1 is not raised up then you probably don’t have them in the front springs. The dealership that sold your ZL1 should have taken them out before selling the car. You can see them in the front springs if they are still on the car. They are orange and look like a spacer or thick block.

I know what you're speaking about now, their in my glove box....i thought maybe there was some kind of spacer on the top of the spring that could be easily removed to lower the car some....
