You really should consider a Bypass valve as opposed to a blow off valve.

There are many benefits, the Vortech Race bypass is my favorite.

I'm replacing a Tial 50mm Q BOV and was told if switching to go to a dual BOV setup. What are the pros of the Vortech RAce bypass valve?

A bypass valve is Open any time there is Vacuum, all the way down to 1.5 inches, and not just high vacuum like a blow off valve where it could take 15 inches or more vacuum to overcome the heavy spring that is what give you the PPPPPSSSSSHHHHH.

This allows the turbo to spin faster with no load on it which DECREASES turbo lag, cools the turbo because fresh air is constantly moving through it.

Allows the intercooler to drop closer to ambient during cruise.

Also Responds faster on decel due to the very light spring.

Dual Vortech Race bypasses are standard on all of our JRE Vortech, Paxton, Procharger, turbo applications.

This info is like Gold. I wish I knew this 5 years ago with my Paxton Nova 2000. Wasted so much time & money.

Ted, you have so much experience in this business. And don't tell, it's because you've been doing it for a long time, because I know folks who have been doing it a long time and don't know crap.

Certainly not as noisy because Pressure does not build up before it opens on Decel

That is the advantage of a Good Bypass Valve, Instant Response.

The more pressure that builds before it opens the louder a Blow off Valve is.

This is Backwards for what Really needs to happen.

We need to NOT have any Pressure back up the turbo when the throttle shuts.

I prefer the Tial 50 mm Bypass valve with a 2 lb spring, I keep them in stock.
