I guess that's why so many wrestlers died so young lately... and I was asking myself how is that? They look fine! You never stop learning!
So steroids with no knowledge = bad! Testosterone pills - works but not needed Better get big in a slow pace and live longer than getting big fast and short your life... One thing I heard years ago, it's true that people who take steroids and get big, if they stop using them all that muscles goes away? ENERGY! Since energy drinks are really bad for you, (CPR trained- I know that energy drinks is the cause of heart attack in people between 24 to 40 lately and gyms are the #1 place where the use the AED (automated external defibrillator) ) there's other way to raise your energy when you feel down before exercise?

1. No no no no no. You do not lose any muscle when you stop cycling. Unless you have screwed up your hormone regulation to a point where you stop producing testosterone. They will just turn back into a normal person with normal gains and fat storage. I think where this comes from is when people normally stop taking steroids it is toward the end of their career(in whatever field or sport) and they stop workout very hard all together, so it seems like once they stopped the drugs they lost it all. That's just my guess though. 2. B vitamins are naturally used in your body for energy. Fast digesting carbs and slower digesting carbs together? Carbs are the most readily available energy source for your body. Also just been excited . I have heart arrhythmia's so I don't drink caffeine at all ever. I am very amped up to hit the gym regardless. GETTING GOOD SLEEP. I can't stress that enough. Eat before you workout period. Don't believe the bullshit that is "fasted cardio/working out". Studies that have been done indicate that being fasted does absolutely nothing to aid in fat loss. If you must feel that way, then just deplete yourself of carbs before a workout and drink a protein shake. That way your body is able to have something to keep it going, but nothing that will restore your glycogen stores.

lol jk guys. that's some great advice! and yes Sleep is a big one. it is the body's way of recuperating. if you have problems going to sleep try darkening your room, and take the electronics out. put your phone out of reach ect.

Looks like I missed a healthy discussion on uhhhh...supplementation last night.
Personally it's not for me. I have a lot of acquaintances that do and have done them. You can for sure make HUGE gains in size and strength IF you put the work in. You can also make huge gains in fat loss depending on what "supplements" you take. But there are health risks involved and just because one or two C5 members have never experienced any problems doesn't mean you won't. Everyone's body is different and you need to decide if this "gamble" is worth it for you. Just sayin.....

Don't forget when stacking and cycling their steroids there's another extremely vital product users add to the must have/use line-up. VIAGRA! Since the body shuts down its natural production because it's overwhelmed by the massive increase the testes SHRINK.
The Boston police a few years back had their own little after shift hang out. It included all the "after hours" activities for the boys, which included Steriods, Viagra, and Prostitutes! Then of course somebody squealed and the "Boys Club" was raided, arrests where made which resulted in a big black eye on the Boston Police force. |

Forgot to mention another side effect of steroid use/abuse. Male Breast, "gynecomastia" since the body is overwhelmed with testosterone the levels of Estrogen increase to try and balance the body. Most Pro Bodybuilders have to use an estrogen blocker, but many end up getting the tissue removed surgically.
And what about the Ladies? Since Steroids increases Estrogen levels in men that Testosterone increase in the female body has some seriously unwanted side effects. Like growing a Penis! Grrrroooooooossssss! It's not really a penis, but the clitoris can get so enlarged, four or five inches long, it looks like a Penis. Along with a much deeper voice, facial hair, bone growth especially in the skull/jaw. Search side effects of female bodybuilders using steroids. Not for the faint of heart, it can be pretty disgusting to see, these are regulated drugs for a reason. |

I think this very much falls into the bodybuilders of yesteryear. Steroids today normally come with the inverse hormone blocker. Today's educated steroid users normally do not see these dramatic side effects too much. Most of it is internal and won't play into effect until much later in life. Plus the new synthetic test that is hitting the market is incredibly safe and scientists have come a very long way with them. And if you didn't see earlier in this thread I've never taken steroids nor do I plan to, so I'm not trying to defend them.

I actually believe IF it is how you make your living you should be able to. But again that is just my opinion. With regards to testing in pro sports, they may say it's done but it really isn't. I had a client when I was with my former job, a recent HOF pitcher for a MLB team.....We got on the subject and he said 2/3's of "us" are taking something. I believe it comes down to who the governing body wants to witch hunt. Again just my opinion.

OMG noooo! lol I'm not the type of person that would take them anyway. I'd like to see what my body can do by itself. clean diet, go hard at the gym, and sleep well. the body is a miraculous thing.

Alright now that we've had what I believe to actually be a rational discussion on steroids let's get back to the usual lightheartedness of the thread!
Everyone needs to watch this video by Layne, it is a great one! http://youtu.be/-3bBk6oneqc

Just came across this subforum. I'm a powerlifter affiliated with USA Powerlifting and the International Powerlifting Federation. Just snooping.
