Why did the dealer...

Why did the dealership charge me $49 dollars for an oil change on my Camaro?

I know it's AcDelco, but jeez... 10 quarts of full syn for that?

Am i missing something?

Yeah, that's what oil costs just by itself. Seems like a deal...

- I would IMMEDIATELY check that your oil is actually full (that they really put the ~10 quarts in).

- I would be very nervous about which oil they actually used...

$49 for someone else to change the oil in your SS. Yeah, that's a steal. Sounds too good to be true honestly unless you were given some kind of discount. I'd check my oil if I were you, make sure it's full.

If you're asking because you think it's a too cheap, again, I would definitely check it like 2SS Capt said.

I'm with everyone else, make sure you got 10 quarts and it's the correct weight oil.

That’s funny because my oil change was 160. I’ll swap you prices?

Yeah that's way cheap. Usually closer to $100 for a full synthetic oil change.

Are you guys really paying that much for an oil change? Mine come out to $45 with the extra oil surcharge at both my local GMC and Chevy dealers.

Mobile 1 is only $20 more

Maybe they used conventional oil instead of synthetic! I was told earlier this year from the service advisor at the Chevy dealership here that it would be about $100.00 to change the oil in my ZL1. I declined to have it done.

That's a great deal! The stealership charged me $80 and my 4-banger does not take 10 quarts...

Too good to be true IMO. The oil sells for $7-9 per quart, the filter is another $5-6, plus labor... hard to see how $49 buys you 10 quarts of the good juice at the dealership. Unless you had coupon or a sale or some special discount.
