That is BS, per the GM warranty guideline if the vehicle is going to require repairs that keep the vehicle overnight the dealer is to put you into another GM vehicle until the repairs are complete.

Was this issue ever fixed? I drive a 2.0 turbo and have had the same message when launching the car hard a few times.

Stepping in the gas in 6th gear is the classic test for a slipping clutch, so maybe it's really slipping. It could be slipping because the throwout bearing is binding or because a leaky real main seal is letting oil get on the clutch.

If your car is under warranty, you should be getting a courtesy car from the dealer. Your dealer sounds like a tool.

What has the dealer done to solve your leaky tire? The tire should be taken off the rim, so that the rim can be cleaned and polished before reseating the tire. The valve stem should be replaced at that time, cheap insurance.

Having the same issue with my V6 RS. Not on the clutch at all but get the "Reduced Performance/Reduce Clutch Use" message in 6th gear and sometimes even in 4th. No mods. Did anyone figure out a good fix to stop this issue/message. Took it into the dealership and had the car inspected and they couldn't find anything wrong. Said it is just the cars way of limitiing heat on the clutch to prevent slip, but the rev fallout is so frustrating...especially when you aren't doing anything wrong. I am thinking it is just a software issue and planning on doing an ecu reset to hopefully get a hard fix. They didn't find anything wrong with the trans/clutch, but I still definitely get the message while riding on the hwy. For a car so pretty, I hate it has been reduced to a giant paper weight.

*Update 10/10/17

At this time I have tried a few things to no avail to get this issue to stop. I tried a ecu reset by removing the negative battery terminal. Unhooked and rehooked the sensor on the throttle body and the gas pedal. Still getting sporadic revs and then fallout while clutch is fully released and driving on the hwy. Car only has 26K on it and is the only major issue I've had while owning it. Calling up my dealership again. Hoping it is not a full clutch slip. My service rep said that it may not be under warranty.

After trying to pull off in 2nd with little gas and no stall, I think I may have a real clutch slip issue. Dealership never called me back, so looking to find a good trans shop in the area to assess this one.

*Update 10/11/17

Still not a 100% sure what the issue is, but just to give an update that if it is a new clutch assembly needs to be installed, the dealer quote with labor is $2100 and is definitely not under the limited power train warranty. Apparently we have one of the most expensive clutch assemblies on the market, and the power train warranty is really really limited. That is not to say that this is the actual problem of the car, but is the worst case scenario. Labor alone is $500-$600 to get to it, and as others stated, could be a bad bearing or flywheel assembly that would greatly reduce that price. I hope this helps someone. Enjoy your car and its performance, but also take care of it too. Will definitely be getting mine fixed soon as it is totally worth it to drive these beautiful beasts! Called up my regular mechanic and he recommended a good Trans Shop that should be able to take care of me fairly and probably do the job with greater attention than what I initially got from my dealership. Will update once they fully diagnose it.

If your tire is losing pressure but there is no puncture, you should have the tire unmounted, the wheel cleaned and sealed, and the vent and TPMS replaced.

Go to a tire specialty shop, not the dealer.

Just curious - when you put the center dash display into digital speedometer mode - do the digital numbers jump up and down?

Sounds electrical, could it be a bad fuse for the speedo?

No, the fuse is an on/off switch. If its blown its off permanently and if its good, its working.

Speedometer reads 60mph at 3,000 rpms in 6th gear. My real speed is 100mph. Lay off the gas and the speedometer reads correctly. Hit the gas and it dips back down 40 miles off.

Car pulls strong to 120mph. Does not feel like a slipping clutch.
