Missing hood liner

The build page is still showing that cars are being built without the hood liner.

Chip shortage I can understand, but hood liner???

Anyway, who has had a car delivered without the hood liner, and is it affecting the paint on the hood due to heat?

Glad mine was built W/O , also removed Water Deflector looks better . Live in Arizona no worries about water intrusion .

No hood liner on a NA car is no problem. Running turbos or alot of supercharger boost MAY be an issue. BOOST creates heat .

I may be mistaken, but I don't think the ZL1's have ever had the hood liners.

Yeah, the ZL1 never had a hood liner. I was going to mention this in light of how much more heat the puny LT4 supercharger generates—but the truth is the hood lines and cooling routes are different due to the broken up hood center section design, so it isn't really comparable to the SS that may indeed require a hood liner.
