Hopefully this hasn’t been asked before
Although I’m sure it has, I was hoping to ask a couple questions. I was all in to get a mustang ecoboost however I’ve never really been one for turbos. So I test drove a V6 2017 camaro and I was sold immediately, truly an awesome car and plenty powerful for a V6 which surprised me. Anyway, my question mainly concerns the A8 transmission and the problems it’s had. I’ve searched through the forum and seen the issues but I couldn’t really nail down if it’s just an overall problem that plagues all years, or mainly the 2016 year. Secondly is there anything else I should be on the lookout for with a used one or should I just go for a new one? I’m very keen on the RS package and it might be slightly out of my range which is why I was looking for a used one.
Thanks in advance everyone |

Can say about the automatic... I have a manual; they are more fun to drive and usually more reliable. Try to find one with the quad tip, dual mode exhaust. They sound awesome.

I am very happy with the A8. ZERO problems and this picture is not the actual tranny.

But used, get more “bang for your buck”. Also, see if certified cars, which would come with a longer warranty to assuage your transmission worries, are in your budget.
Oh and dual mode exhaust is sick but might be a tough find on a used v6. RS package will be easier to find. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

CPO or certified is the way to go.bought a 2015 RS with low miles a couple of years ago, saved 10 grand and still covered by bumper to bumper warranty till the end of this month.you will love all the RS goodies, even the ones you dont think you will use.

Zero problems with my automatic SS and way waster than the manuals .
