I recently purchased a 1SS 1LE and order the spectrum lighting, along with illuminated doors sills. It was a dealer installed. I noticed my trim lighting around the radio stays white and doesn't change to the color I select. My floor and door lighting changes, but the radio doesn't it stays white. I also am wondering, does the door sills suppose to change color too?

I am wondering if anyone has ran into this problem? I would like some feedback, because my dealer seems clueless on how this lighting works. Thanks!

Not sure but I believe since the 1SS doesn't have factory spectrum lighting, the mylink screen doesn't have the different color LEDs. You could likely swap in a 2SS screen and then it would.

Also yes the door sill plates do not change color at all. Only the door trim panels change.

MyLink screen does have the option of changes the LED colors. When dealer was trying to install the lighting the local accessory rep told the dealer that in a 700 mile radius of my area that there were only 3 1SS models that have the option I do. So it was very hard for him to install the lighting. Of course GM was no help.

Not the option in the software, the actual screen does not have the color LEDs I believe. Hopefully someone else can confirm that. Try searching the Audio/Visual section of the forum. I know it's been talked about before.

MyLink does have the touch screen for changing LED colors. Like I said itgets me change to any 24 LED colors and my doors and footwells will change, but the trim lighting around the radio stays white. I may not be following in what you are trying to say, but I will check he Audio forum

You are not following me. The physical screen which you see white LEDs on may only be capable of white color because it is missing color LEDs. You need two separate LEDs to generate white or color. I'm thinking the 1SS screen doesn't get both like the 2SS screens do which come from the factory with spectrum lighting, because it seems like I have heard this complaint before. If you have the Lighting app on mylink to change colors, then your dealer installed it correctly. Does that make sense?

It's not the screen I am concerned with, it's the trim light that's is outside of the radio. Sorry if I am overkilling this. At times I am thick headed

Yea the trim lights are part of the screen. That whole plastic trim around the screen is a single unit.

Thanks. That is exactly what I am looking for. I do much better with pictures. So do you think that with a flash from the dealer it will work?

PM that guy in the last link. Seems he did some swapping of connectors maybe. You've got the flash since you have the app to change the colors.
