Yea, those for me are 2 of the ones I had issues with. lol. Especially Sunoco..

If complete street is getting the car and they put it on the dyno, they can adjust and fix and you should be good after that.
That’s what i was thinking over a canned tune. No disrespect to DynoSteve he does great work for what it is but you can’t beat a dyno and a street tune which CSP does with all builds.

I am reading of areas that have 91 octane and other areas that have 93 octane. Washington State is 92 octane. Is there going to be a big difference between 92 and 93? I have also found only 5 stations statewide that have E85 fuel.

I’ve read 91-93 are all fine

The V6 models have a fuel table, as well, to change the timing depending on the type of gas in the tank. I've only ever pulled the fuse once and have been using 93 ever since. I noticed the increase in power after doing the fuse pull, but I can't really say that I've noticed any power loss since then (close to 2 years ago).

I also use Kroger fuel, expressly, due to the low cost and high quality. They keep their storage tanks maintained and locked at all times.

Problem is I know it’s not in my head lol. Without doing it I can’t get the car into it’s power band it just winds up slowly. But as soon as I do the pull I actually get a wot pull and throws me into the seat.

Hey there Big, yea a good dyno tune should help you out with this as they can fine tune your ECM, spark and fuel trims to what you have in the tank at that moment, and also with the E85. What I have done is when I have taken the car for a tune, I always use the Shell V-Power 93, which I try to use ALL the time, but like I said, I find the BP runs well to, but she likes Shell better. lol. So what I'm saying, stick to just 1 or 2 fuel companies and you should be golden. I have only 1 time did the fuse pull since being cammed and stalled just to see if made any difference, and safe to say, it didn't. Good luck my friend hope you get her straight..

There really isn’t any shell or bp close to my daily driving routes. I usually stick to Mobil 90%of the time since it’s closest to me and my driving (3 different ones) plus they give money back with every time you get gas - not a big deal but it’s a bonus

Ok cool. Hopefully then when you get her all dyno tuned up that will all get taken care of for you. I know dynosteve does great tunes, but nothing beats a dyno tune, it is more "exacting" for the car. Good luck my friend..

Don't fill up at a non-normal place before the tune. If you use sunoco, get it dyno'd with sunoco in the tank.

For you guys running Shell V-Power 93, is it 10% ethanol? I have access to that (with 10%) or BP 91 pure gas. To get back to the highest grade fuel table, does the ECM just sense the 93 octane regardless of blend? I've always preferred to run pure gas as much as possible, but would like to get into the optimal table.

The Shell and BP I run is 10% ethanol and both are 93oct. I asked my tuner years ago about running "pure gas" and he said it wouldn't mak any difference on how the car ran, so I don't use it at all, and the ones I have seen the oct is only 91, so no for me. From what I understand if you use fuel lower than 90oct the ECM senses that from the spark knock it creates and will put it down into the lower tables so as to not hurt the engine, it pulls timing so it won't have any detonation and damage the engine. Just what I have read on this forum. When you do the fuse pull it restores the fuel trims back into the upper tables and you are good to go as long as it senses 91 or higher oct.
