Obviously, in either case this is a very different user experience from an actual manual transmission. |

Have you driven one? I have one in a Porsche - PDK. It's an automatic in function. Yes you can run it in manual mode and it will stay in the gear you tell it to and there is no TC - but it's still an automatic in terms of driving experience.

It might be a great time for a start up company producing manual transmission conversions for the new C8. Good Luck!

GM’s quoting 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds.
That’s running a modified LT1 known as the LT2, with 495 horse power. That’s partially due to the dual clutch transmission shifting so quickly. Z06 and ZR1 are surely going to cause brain damage. I would definitely wait and let some people guinea pig it because we don’t know how reliable the Tremec dual-clutch transmission is going to be. Also, remember they delayed C8 6 months for severe electrical problems. One year of production will enlighten everyone.

A stock Z51 with a 120K power train warranty sounds nice.

The C8 Vette obviously has even worse rear quarter/rear visibility than the 6th gen Camaro, but I bet no one ever complains about it.

I started adding up all the goodies I would want and it was way north of the ZLE price. Can't wait to see how it really performs. Sure it's mid engine and probably quite a bit lighter, but disappointed about no FI option. I'm sure it will come but it will be pricey. Waiting on that winning lottery ticket...
