Interesting that these are valve based and not magnetic fluid based.

It's because their tuning for the MRC sucks and they can't beat GM's calibrations.

I think there was some decent drivers on RRAX that were quite happy with the DSC Controller on their cars, picked up some decent time on an autocross course.

The DSSV kit seems like the cheaper better option.

That's on autoX, not high speed with imperfections/dips in the road, which is where you need everything composed and settled the most. The higher speed stuff caused instability and floatiness.

dsc, mcs, jrz are all pretty much around the same prices $6000-9000

kw , bc, megan and all the other coilovers out there vary in price but arent really for track use just getting super hella flush lowlow for scene points

I'll be first to disagree with you

I ran BC on previous race car and while not major name brand, they worked well enough at fraction of cost. If you got checks to write and brands to brag about.. go for it, but don't knock it till you rock it.

In many cases, you're paying for more expensive MARKETING department.

So.. who's first to drop near $10K for set of coilovers ?

I think any sane person would think twice (unless they absolutely were in love with their Camaro) before paying 1/4 of the price of the car on coilovers, especially since the MRC is so good.

I would much rather bank/invest that $10K and use it as a down for a C8

Maybe I am wrong, but I doubt most people who buy a $40 - $50K car, would spring for a $10K suspension setup.

You’d be surprised. Competitive Miata, e46, e90, e36 guys spend 7-9k for 3 ways all the time. And those cars are a fraction of 40-50k

Hey, I agree with you on this. We are on a roll here Very stupid to pay 1/4 the price of the car on coilovers, especially since the mag ride is so good. Even the DSSVs seem to make the performance worse under most conditions and without R-comps.

Also agree about buying a C8. Hopefully in 3 years or so I'm in one.

i know a few guys that have the mcs, dsc and jrz setup probably sponsored by them and got a good deal but still at least 5-6k lol its crazy in my opinion

i emailed ohlins, moton and a few other guys and nobody makes a decent track use coilovers setup for around 2-3k which is more reasonable

shit even penske shocks/struts were like 5-6k and that included no springs!!
