Trunk won’t open hero third brake rapid fire installed

So when I got my car my trunk would open sometimes other times no matter which button I pressed it would just click and not open. The issue would resolve it self after a day or so didn’t think too much about it. Installed the hero third brake light rapid fire module about a month ago for safety concerns on the highways here in Texas. Fast forward to last week the trunk won’t open at all. Dropped it off at the dealer today, their saying it’s not throwing any codes so it shouldn’t be any electrical, however the third brake light flashed could have fried something and it’s a $800 fix. Don’t know if I should take it to another dealer? Because it sounds like a latch problem especially from what I have seen on the forums here. What’s y’all take?

when I took my spoiler off Mine would make the noise like it unlatched but wouldn't open. I had to go inside and push it open while I hit the unlock. I played with the liner and it never did it since.

the height adjustment bumpers on the trunk and the interior plastic cover that wraps around the trunk hook latch need to be carefully adjusted. You will not pop the lock if it's not making contact for instance. It needs a certain amount of contact pressure on that plastic cover to work.
