How bad is this?

Hi! I just “landed” with my left wing on a very high curb, the result is this :(

Is it hard to fix, to make it 100% like new?

Thanks!

I had something like it last year but it was the front quarter panel coming off , a few other people had it on here to but they wouldn’t cover it under warranty for some reason. Cost aboIt $1100.00 in us dollars to fix but that was with a paint fix to because there was a chip from the door rubbing against the quarter panel.
Hope that helps a bit . Took 2 days to fix but that was because 1 day was for the paint to dry.

Attached a second photo. Any idea if I need to replace the whole wing?

Did you jack the car from the rocker? ...not from the pinch weld.

When you say “landed” it makes it sound like you launched the car and crashed down. That would be bad..er

I went over an edged curb like this, while turning.

Damn. Those kind of curves are nearly impossible to see in the Camaro. That is my only gripe in regards to visibility.

What kind of damage has happened underneath the rocker panel? The rocker panel itself is plastic.

Several scratches, easy to fix, not too visible. I don't ever understand how that panel bent so bad since the underneath is very fine.

I don't know what route to go: independent body shop, Chevrolet dealer or PDR?

Had a similar bend on my vehicle when it was dropped by a tire installer. Had additional bending in my driver side rocker panel. Around $1500 to have them straighten and repaint.

The repaint job worries me. Is that needed? I don't know how accurate repainting is. I am trying to have it back to its original state, no matter the cost. I never saw a repainting done right so far, you can see the difference from far away. But maybe the shop done a poor job? Can reipanting be 100% accurate?

Also, the bent panel... is straightening usually done right? It seems pretty messy and sadly, there are all those lines and curves that must match with the door.

Hmmm... people here at work scared me that if the shop doesn't do the job properly (and I can't tell the difference), it might rust after some time. How true is that? Paintless dent repair shops around Toronto don't seem to be that great (just a few with less than 100-150 reviews).

I went to ask for some quotes. They said to not expect too much, since my options are:
1. Body work with 90% lines and color matching.
2. PDR, but not more than 70% lines matching.

I was expecting much more than 70% PDR and 90% color matching. Should I shop around more?

That looks like a body shop repair. Looks like they will need to realign the panel and repaint. Get 3 quotes from reputable shops and go with the one that you feel most comfortable with. This is not a difficult repair and a respray should not be a problem either. A good shop will guarantee their work, no worries about rust. Good Luck!
