Congrats!! I traded my 17 SS M6 for an 18 ZL1 A10 and agree that the auto shifts are quick.
The Red Hot is supposedly quicker than yours.. Richard Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk |

Just drove an A10 yesterday. Felt sloppy and slow shifting compared to my AMG 9-speed auto. Absolutely no comparison to the super crisp and hard shift points of the Merc. If you want to feel how it should feel...go drive a base model amg and you will be bummed if you bought an A10 Camaro. Maybe it gets better with a tune...I don't know, but I would hope so. I will stick to the 6 speed and enjoy every second of that amazing transmission and car!

Yeah even the dodge ZF auto transmission is leagues better than our A8/A10. I still love my SS.
I know it's used by BMW and Volkswagen. Is it the same one in the AMG? |

The above posts confirm what I've been saying all along. The A10 is just...OK for a torque converter box.
Manual is the way to go in these cars.

I have to say after owning both I'd love to do the same and get back in the A10.
If I had only know that 4 months after I got the ZLE it would be offered in the A10. |

/LT1. No supercharger right? The main benefit in my experience comes with adding boost, is there a lot of power to be gained with timing and AFR adjustments? |

About 35 hp gain. Great first mod if u have access to the fuel. It sucks it up at about 30% greater rate tho.

Granted everyone's subjective experience is different , but when the score is 999-1 ... I wouldn't bet the house on 1 Ford And GM created something great with the A10 and the 10R80. I driven a Porsche with the PDK and that is a superior transmission.. but just barely... and that opinion holds true from most guys that I know that own both. But again, opinions are quite subjective

Yes I agree the A10 will be a faster 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile car but I don't think most people here buy a Camaro to do 1/4 mile runs, thats not what its for. Its a course car and having a manual will have its advantages on a course over a auto. With that said if I drove my Camaro to work every day I would have a A10 but this is my fun car and banging gears is fun, the rev match is awesome and fun to play with. I guess its what you bought the car for? I drove a A10 and it felt faster off the line but felt I would become bored very quickly and end up selling it.
