Telescope anyone?
I guess I have expensive hobbies. Now I want a Telescope. Guess I have sticker shock. Anybody out there in the hobby? Been looking at 10 inch Dobsonian vs 10 to 14 inch compound. Being able to move it myself is a concern. Prefer to stay at $2k area.
Looking for opinions Dob vs Compound image quality. Also, motorized vs non. I am leaning towards the motorized.

Do you have something now that you use? What do you want to be able to see with it? You are probably going to want something you can transport to a dark sky location to really maximize use.

I haven't had one for decades. I want to be able to see saturn pretty well, jupiter, Mars, Orion Nebula, etc..

I’ve debated building one... My wife’s cousin built a 10 inch Dobsonian and I was actually quite impressed with it... His isn’t motorized.
I would like a mount to be able to attach a camera...
