This has been an issue since the 6th gen came out. It'll come back if you shut the car down and wait for a few minutes, but it's annoying. Pretty disappointed that GM/Chevy haven't addressed this yet. The only way to fix this is to install an aftermarket exhaust controller that connects to the fuse box so you circumvent the user interface. I've been using a Forza brand unit personally since it's made a lot better for dealing with engine heat than the Mild to Wild.

I just bought a new 2018 ZL1 last week and I have noticed the same exact issue. The first two days I had the car and was going through the menus to set up options, Auto memory recall, Easy exit & Reverse mirror tilt were missing. Then when I went back in on the third day, those items were there.

I wonder if the TSB mentioned in this thread is for people who have this intermittent problem, or is the TSB only for people who never have the items appear?

Hope that didn't sound confusing? Basically, I hate to waste the time having the TSB applied if it isn't going to improve my situation.

Someone else also suggested using the unlock button a couple times before hitting the key fob remote start to "wake up" the computer so it doesn't lose the menus.

I've been able to reproduce both on my car.

From your experiences, does the problem with the disappearing(and reappearing) menu get worse with time? If I can live with the way it is now, should I try to get it fixed anyway?
My car is no longer on warranty, so I would have to pay for replacing the module. Just wondering if its worth it.

It's some module initialization order glitch, didn't get any worse or better on my car (it hardly ever happens). Pressing unlock before lock when using remote start eliminates it completely.

Since I have the latest pre-refresh infotainment software as of late 2019 and it's the same, I don't think this is worth spending money on. Just my 2 cents'.

The menu hasn't come back on since driving the car about 5 times. :(
But its mostly settings I never went into anyway
