They're not talking about killing off the Camaro... the survey was about badging, and what names were appealing to you, what they meant, and what was important to you as far as the Camaro badging... SS meaning vs 376 vs Street Sport vs RS.

Never heard of Street Sport. SS has always meant Super Sport just as RS=Rally Sport

376 would be nice for the emblem with HP below or next to it.

It looks like they are trying to push the Camaro towards "street performance", which was kind of confusing to me since they kept referencing track ready/capable during it... never once referencing the 1LE package. That may be the whole thing... some of us know it as 1LE, so maybe they want to push "Street Sport" going forward so everyone knows what it is?

I should have kept the screen shots...

Interesting! I know Chevy is into the track thing and not really straight line. I did see the Hennessy Exorcist which is pretty cool though

A retro SS Chevelle sounds cool, but it would lower Camaro sales. And they're already suffering with lower than normal sales.

Anyone for Berlinetta trim for LT/RS?

A true stripper you can argue all you want but your SS was not a stripper

There's a Google search of crank windows
I know exactly what crank windows are. You don't get much more stripper car than this.

Manual trans, manual locks, manual windows, no fog lights, no traction control, no rear defogger, cloth seat and a Hardtop. This is a 1 of 5 produced by GM 99 Hugger Orange SS 1LE

LOL. As long as it has Corinthian leather.

I would, but I don't know if that model would work these days. The Berlinetta was the luxury oriented trim model in the Camaro lineup.

Fair enough man I stand corrected your interior looks exactly the same as my interior except I have the zebra print. I would think the SS would still be slightly heavier overall due to the rims and perhaps the hood but it's negligible.

I know my car was a special Factory order to get it in stripper Trim in 2002 and it was ordered about a month before they close the plant in Saint Therese Quebec.

Very nice car man

That's not mine, I almost bought that one but fate brought my 2000 back to me for 1/3 of the asking price of that 99 Hugger 1LE.

Possible I guess. Was this just a coincidence of the same starting letters? I kind of doubt it.

Yea , that's why I said that they probably should just retire the Camaro name, for now . And bring back the Chevelle because it would definitely bring some ppl back and start up big noise. And it would definitely be retro
