Code p2119 throttle body serviceable?

Hello I have a NW 103mm TB and I have this code relating to throttle sctuator control. Has anyone successfully moved tps and tac over from an old throttle body to a new one? The dealer says I need a new throttle body. I find it hard to believe the little black box on the side of the TB can’t be replaced?

No one has ever had an issue with their throttle body before?

Any ideas or can you only get a new throttle body?

Can you see a part # on the actuator assembly? Once you ID it, I would go to ebay and buy a used TB with that actuator. Slight risk going with a used part, but I can't find actuators sold separately.

It appears they are stamping the part number for the whole TB assembly on the plastic actuator.

Looking at this, it appears you should be able to buy another one and just swap it. Since the position sensor and actuator motor are inside the same housing, there is nothing that can get out of calibration. This idea seems to be supported by what I read online, and probably reflects why they build and sell them this way.

I would still do my best to make sure the old TB and new TB are both at the idle position before proceeding with the swap.

You are looking at about $50 for used and $80 for a new TB on ebay. realistically, if you could buy a new actuator separately, it would probably be about $50-60.

Relatively low risk to try it, plus many vendors will accept returns.
Just make sure you get a TB for the V8. All those actuator/sensor assemblies look the same. There are differences for the 4 and 6-cyl versions though.
