Camaro Owners Manual sucks

Hey everyone. Just purchased a 2023 ZL1. Been reading over the manual (which I find unorganized) and Im unable to locate the 500 mile read Diff fluid change requirement. I don't see it in the High Performance Owners Manual Supplement as well. Has something changed?

See "Starting and Operating" p. 192

Edit: nevermind, no reference to your specific question about the diff and 500 miles. Just the boiler-plate comment about 1500mi break-in overall and change the fluid prior to any "performance" use.

Thanks man. but I was looking for the requirment to change the rear diff and oil at 500 miles. I seen it posted awhile back but for some reason it didn't come with my new ZL1 so now I'm confused. I really don't want to hurt my baby.

I think those came from older Corvette Z06 (has same engine, ish) performance manual. "Backed" by bro sciences, so everybody's doing that, including me.

Definitely not "bro science". Here's the manual from GM. https://www.chevrolet.com/content/da...ackPREP-R3.pdf

...and where is the requirement of changing the diff fluid at 500 miles mentioned in this guide? Also, it's the GM track prep guide, so even if it were listed, that may not apply to OP's intended purposes.

I had the dealership preemptively change the diff fluid on mine at 1500 miles (as per the 2018 state of "bro science") and didn't regret it, the fluid wasn't clean.

On my 1LE the only requirement in the manual is to have the diff fluid changed at 1500 miles(after break in) IF you plan on going to the track. Otherwise it can stay.

The track preparation guide recommends a 500 mile initial oil change, maybe that's what you were thinking of?

The manual, high performance supplement, and track preparation guide have never recommended a 500 mile diff fluid change afaik.
