It's funny, mine is usually pretty close to hand calculation. Like maybe 0.5 mpg optimistic. It was close enough that I stopped doing the hand calc. Maybe I'll go back and hand calculate the next couple of tanks and see.

I might download an app to track it see if mine is off as well. Seems like with how far we've come it shouldn't be too far off. 2MPG difference seems like a pretty unreasonable error rate percentage.

Ignore the first line... I goofed up the calcs for that line when I did a quick rearrange to get the snip. I suspect this difference might vary from car to car, even among the same model. Yours might be more accurate. As the saying goes..."Your Mileage May Vary". |

Manual ZL1 1LE daily driver. Short commute to work. Car barely has time to warm up. Averaging 12.6 mpg over the first 2k miles.

1SS 2018
~12,300 on the tach A8, dual mode exhaust Last year when new, it got around 27.1 on the trip B This year around 26.9 so far. ***** I ran it for a few months with the Range, after the tranny flush. Seemed to cure any issues with the shudder. I am between any areas you'd call metro, so I enjoy wide open highway at the end of the driveway. I checked the dash mpg after getting the car, and mine is pretty close to actual, less than 2/10ths off (optimistic) Not really concerned, with mpg, but just something to be curious about, and to monitor how it's running, and if there's any change. The Range, I note, seemed to alter the TCM as well as deactivating the AFM. Never quite felt as snappy. But it always sounds good.MPG went into the $h---er. My best last year, here. Didn't reset after fillup, even as a D/D. But I don't have a clue why it was so good. (air filter/injector cleaner needed?) |

1SS, 6spd manual. Normal driving I get between 17-19mpg. Best I’ve ever done on a highway run was 29.8mpg per the trip computer. Pretty damn good for a car that runs 12’s and sounds this good if you ask me.

Just did a 2 week road trip in my Camaro SS across Europe, from Sweden to Italy, through Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Here’s the trip B, reset when I drove from home: Trip B: 3735,4 km (2250 miles) Avg Fuel Econ: 10,1 L/100km (23.28 mpg) Avg speed: 73 km/h (44 mph) I think that is pretty decent. The trip included a few days of spirited mountain driving through the Swiss alps and some quick runs on the German Autobahn. |

I can get 25-27 mpg on the highway cruising at 70 but for the most part I get 20-22 mpg and I'll take that all day long considering the 650whp.

Doing the math, my 2SS gets 27-28 mpg
The car is within .5 mpg of the math. That is with all types of driving. Not bad. My 1969 SS 396 gets about 12 on good day. The Camaro would blow it's door off. |

This is what I get about. So 2SS, MAG Ride, Manual and everyday driving around the town is about 17-19. My Highway is a bit different, I did get to about 27 but usually average 25. But that is mostly my driving habit, I cant just leave cruise alone. I have to get into it every now and again. I think if my foot was a touch lighter and not so quick that I would be near 30 on the highway.
