the hurst pistol grip was the best mod I ever did... I know you don't even have the ride yet. But really OMG this shifter is that good.

Install was a major pain (I think a cam is candy job).

Nice review. I agree, less complexity than the higher priced Camaros and equal fun with the full SS drive train. I went with the Bose, Recaros, NPP and the Sunroof along with some trim goodies.

My latest ideas for the empty canvas of the LT1. Simple appearance mods including MRR 1LE replicas to give the car a tough vibe. Next would be some beginner go fast mods to add about 30 RWHP while mantaining the stock NPP exhaust. Who needs an LT2? Not the LT1.

That looks really nice! Love the red accents and 1LE replicas!

Awesome! Are you having Becky deliver it to you, or are you going to pick it up yourself?

Becky is AMAZING!!!

I decided to fly to Detroit to have Becky deliver the car at her dealership. Then drive the car down Woodward Avenue looking for trouble. The wife will tag along to protect me from myself and then we will either come home through Toronto or Nashville. To make a little vacation out of it. And when we arrive home the LT1 will get an oil change and then it will be ready for action!

Awesome! Normally February wouldn't be the best time of year for that, but this winter has been pretty mild. Hope you have a great time (I'm sure you will)!

I had Becky deliver the car to my house. Super easy, they dropped the new car off, and took my trade-in back to Detroit almost as easy as if I had ordered a pizza!

Becky is cool beans. I should have done that. But I went for romance.

Congrats!

I drove my trade to Detroit (13 ZL1) and picked up my new SS. Was great to meet Becky, get the tour and then have a four hour drive home to get familiar with the new ride.

I took an off ramp every ~50 mile and got right back on making shifts at the 4,000 rpm break in limit. Engine was strong and didn’t use a drop of oil during the 20k miles I drove it.

Becky helped me decide the best way to jazz up the LT1 interior.

I can't wait to pick it it up in a few weeks....

I have the red arm rests but I might buy matching Recaro arm rests to replace the stockers. With Recaros, Sunroof, Bose, lighted sill plates, and NPP that interior will be a nice place to hang out. Next I will get the seat heaters and ventilation working.....

The LT1 is a great blank canvas.
