Saw a couple of F1FTY brothers at the Bumpers for Boobies fundraiser. I didn’t enter my car because I didn’t have a chance to wax it and it rained a bit last night, but still had a lot of fun. I really liked the orange pin stripe on the mirrors of “Cerberus”. I’m sold on the ZL1 taillight swap after seeing it on the second 50 I spotted. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the owner to chat though.

Edit: Also might have finally come up with a name - MeliSSa or MiSSY for short. I really wanted a name with SS in it. This would be the first car I’ve named. I usually don’t, but people keep asking me what her name is. Anybody else name your F1FTY?

Love the Dark lamps swap on mine (center and tails).

And this is the first vehicle I haven’t named, other than F1FTY. Having a hard time naming this one for some reason.

Those will happen soon. I just need to cool it a bit otherwise I am not going to have a happy lady at home. We're buying a new home as soon as we can sell the one that we are in. I can't wait to have a garage again. I hate to see her outside....

I found a compromise though and ordered the Diode Dynamic smoked side markers to keep me happy in the meantime. So on order I've got a new dash piece to replace the melted one, a new ZL1 starter button, DD side markers and a mirror wire harness to hardwire up the radar detector and whichever dash cam I settle on. Anybody have any opinions? I have a BlackVue 600 from my BRZ, but I would like to get a 4K model.

Which harness did you order? I love the one from Gen5DIY. And it can accommodate a USB connection for cameras (if you select that option).

I did order it from Gen5DIY. I got the harness with the extra leads for a dash cam install afterwards.

BlackVue seems to be a really good brand so maybe you should see what they offer in 4K. I just recently upgraded from a Thinkware F750 to a Thinkware Q800 Pro. Moved the F750 to another car. I think the Q800 is 2K. There is a good YouTube comparison of the Q800, BlackVue DR900S (4K) and GoPro (4K).

Definitely worth viewing for anybody considering a high end high functioning dashcam. https://youtu.be/L1Qlj_d6Xts

For a 1 channel setup, they are similarly priced (@ $300). For a 2 channel setup, BlackVue appears to be priced about $100 more ($500, to Thinkware’s $400)

I watched all 20 minutes of that - very informative. Thanks for the share. I’ll let you know what I decide on.

Also, Camaro Fest!! Looks like about a 7 hour drive for me from Charlotte, but I’ll talk to the boss tonight but I’m sure she’ll be down.

And yes you can multiquote in Tapatalk like I did above. Tap a post. Choose More. Choose Multi Quote. It will select the first one you hit More on. Then touch the others you want to add. Then in upper right hit the talk ballon icon. It will then generate a new post with the ones selected. Watch the order it doesn’t always lay them out like you want. But easy copy/cut/paste can fix that.

Is it the weekend yet? I’m excited to have a weekend off for the first time in ages.

Headed out with my local Camaro club on a road trip to Lambert’s Saturday. Who else has fun stuff planned?
