Broken clips for AAC concept sidemarker lenses - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

anyone had the clips (or tabs) break when installing or uninstalling the AAC concept sidemarkers? 3 of the 4 of mine broke when removing. I tried super glue and it did nothing. Seems like a very weak bonding in the plastic, a bad batch perhaps. The clips broke with essentially no effort, now they can't be reinstalled, so I have called AAC and I'm going to send them back to see if anything can be done. repaired or exchanged I hope. I had them custom painted, tinted and everything. I'm returning them next week and see what can be done. Just wanted to know if anyone else's clips have broken. never usually have an issue with AAC products, so we'll see what they can do.

1 of mine did that, I used JB weld and its holding so far...

When I had bodywork done, the body shop broke the tab for mine... so I put my stock ones back on. They taped it in and didn't tell me about it. So it actually split apart as well when I was replacing the fascia.

going to try some JB Qwik the guy at Advanced Auto recommends. just as strong, but sets quicker. hopefully that works so I don't have to bother with returning it.

send them back for warranty replacement.

supposedly do not have a warranty replacement after 7 days from purchase. But anyway, I tried the JB Qwik and it worked for now. We'll see what happens if I ever have to remove the lenses again and press the clips back.

AAC?

"LIFETIME" warranty..... I have dealt with them frequently for warranty items (unfortunately) and they have the 2nd best warranty possible.

They have replaced or refunded my money on all of their items that have gone bad.
