I like the sound of the stock NPP- which my car did not originally have. Which Borla sounds more like that? My car had the stock muffler- and it was defective- had a very had rattle inside it. It was out of warranty so I could not bring it to the dealer. I replaced it with the MPRB.
Neither should have drone. That's one of the features of Borla. The ATAK is the louder one, maybe a bit more rasp.

At the time Borla did not have a catback system, only axle back. They may now though.

Update on what I did on my Camaro. I went to a good muffler shop in town. Guy has over 40 years experience in pipe bending and installing custom exhausts. I explained the drone of the MBRP and the raspiness at the upper RPM's. He knew exactly what to do.

He cut off the MBRP Hemoltz chambers, kept the tail pipe section after the chambers and also the nice 4" tips. He installed "mini" flow masters- first connected then them to the MBRP tail pipes, then custom made a piece of pipe to connect from the flowmaster inlets to the stock exhaust. It's a very clean look and the sound is unlike any of the aftermarket systems available. The best way to describe it is it's very deep- kind of like stock (less NPP) but extremely deep and it does not change tone or get raspy at all at the higher RPM's. The look is so clean underneath and looks like it came that way from the factory. So finally can say I love the sound of the car.
