Has THIS ever happened to you?!?

This has happened to me twice. First time I was driving along some guy in a Volvo SUV and he was speeding up and slowing down trying to get me to play, so I gave it a good rev. He shook his head in disapproval and literally took his hand and patted his Volvo roof and sped away.

Second time a guy and his buddy in a 4 door dented up Hyundai (OLD Hyundai)
pulled up next to me while driving lining up our tires, and his buddy gave me the hand signal to rev/accelerate so I humored him. I revved a little and he must've thought we were racing because he floored it even though there was a car in front of me. His passenger shook his hand as if to indicate "meh, so-so"

Are you not pleased? HA! It baffles me to think that someone wouldn't be impressed with how loud the 6.2 is. What do people want? Hahaha, I'm happy with it and that's all I care about. Last time I checked the SS was one of the loudest cars from the factory.

I don't "play" with anyone. I bought my car for me. I didn't buy it to impress anyone.

Yep same here.

But it is why I chose nightfall gray over hyper blue. I loved hyper blue, but I didn't want to attract these type of idiots who would try to egg me on into "playing". I didn't want that type of attention with such a flashy color. So I went with a more "mature" color to blend in as much as possible.

So far it has worked. But I did have two idiots with a riced up WRX STi and GTI do fly by's on me kicking up dirt on the road putting some small dings in the passenger side of the car.

I just laugh and don't even give those people the time of day.

First off anyone in a Volvo or old Hyundai most likely knows nothing about cars. Second, you know what you have and just knowing that you'd leave them both in the dust if you did race them should be satisfaction enough for you.

As a side note, I've always wanted to pull the stunt from Back to the Future III, where Flea from Red Hot Chilli Peppers challenges Marty to a drag race and Marty tach's it up like he accepts, tells Jennifer to "grab on to somethin", then throws it in reverse and backs away while Flea takes off.

I don't get many invitations to rev my engine or to race.

I do get a lot of compliments and questions about the car though.

Same here and when I do get one I just shake my head no. The funny thing is that the couple who have over the past two years have mostly been non-SS Camaros.

Everybody thinks theyre jeff gordon behind the wheel of a car,i always get morons in lifted trucks trying to race me,i just think to myself if you want to be a race car driver why wouldnt you just buy a sports car

Seldom get a few revs here and there, but I never ever bother one bit. I reserve that pleasure for when I’m at the track.

A 5th gen SS and I were going opposite directions in a parking lot once. He revved hard, and I revved back near instantaneously. I supposed he may have wanted to check if I had a manual as well or something. Anyway, we both gave a respectful nod to the other, and kept going.

Only time I’ve revved at anyone else that I don’t know. All other cars aren’t worth the gas or my interest. As stated above, I bought this car for me.

I had a Tahoe with Long Tubes and Borla Sport muffler, a cold air box, and some more stuff. My wife told me when she was hauling the kids in it and a truck pulled up next to her and revved at a light, and she revved back. She said the guy put it in reverse and backed up a car length.

When I had my 69 I did run with a CLS63 one time. He even let me out of a parking lot just so he could get next to me, at a stop light to an on ramp.
