Extrude Hone OEM Manifolds

Anyone try extrude honing the OEM exhaust manifolds?

I'd like to stay with the OEM setup due to visual/emission restrictions and realize the manifolds and likely more so, the inlets to the cats are my next limiting factor. Amazing the engine makes 650 HP thru that tiny openning especially on the driverside...

Extrude honing used to be advertised a good bit, but don't hear about it much now.

I realize a set of tubular headers is the optimum answer...

Thanks.

No one uses this anymore. I think it would be a waste of money on exhaust manifolds.

Agreed. If you have to stay with the manifolds, finding a way to open up the collector and primary cat opening is the key. Believe @swisstyphoon has some info on doing this previously.

SPD makes them for the Coyote F150 and they are pretty darn good. Quite a few people got fed up with false knock codes and these offer performance very close to headers, while maintaining OEM type fitment.

Appreciate the replies. I came across a hand porting service:

https://socalporting.com/

They do Camaro manifolds as well...$400 which seems reasonable for the hand porting it requires. I do agree the cat entry's appear to be a significant choke point which this doesn't address.

These are mostly tubular, except the flanges, so there isn't much to extrude. I'd listen to Josh' and check out that post from swisstyphoon. If I recall - he ported the cat' flanges, mounted the manifolds to fixtures, and replaced the squashed pipes with larger-round pipes. I'll be looking into this some day, too.
