Every blower has an efficiency range. They will generate boost above this range but it is not recommended and requires extensive heat reduction countermeasures.

Just trying to see if 15psi is safe as long as i keep the supercharger cool, planning on ported supercharger to 103mm, 103 nick williams throttle body, upper and lower pulleys, 15psi, headers, CAI, meth injection, and e85. And just trying to see how safe itll be as long as its all cool. Thats why i was asking he said he was on 17psi with stock blower.

I would add a low side fuel pump.

I think 15 is safe. I wasn't having too many heat soak issues at 15. Once I turned it up tho, I couldn't do more than 2 full throttle pulls on a roll race and it was done for the night. Keep n mind I was throwing everything at the car to keep the mani temps down. 2 stage meth, E85, Weapon X HX system.

I was thinking of also adding the interchiller cooler, it wires from the A/C to the blower and on stock it keep temps down to like 30 degrees on a 90 degree day

Voodoo, I erged Katy TX not to put that kinda money into the stock blower it will cost more money in the long run. It's better to sale your blower to a LT1 owner that never plans on forging the bottom end.. They make right at 600 to the wheels which is perfect for SS owners and their pistons.

I to have the HP bug like anyone and I did upgrade my setup no labor other than tune but, all the parts are transferable to the a bigger blower for a more efficient setup. The mods I listed added 100 hp to the wheels.

TSP headers 599.00 no Tax
ATI damper 350 no tax
ATI blower ring 15% 110 plus 8.25 tax
Cut stock box Free
Tune 600.00 (retune fee of 100 to 300 later on)

All this ^ can be used toward the new build provided you upgrade to a Whipple, 2650, or 2300..

If you plan to max out your stock unit all the way here is an idea of cost VS a larger blower..

upper 250.00 plus labor
Heat exchangers 1300.00 plus labor (could be used over but not necessary on a bigger blower)
Porting 1000 to 1750 depends on the stage (plus install) avg 1500 w shipping
103mm TB 650.00
Meth kit and install (1500 at least)
Lower pulley 650 plus install
tune 600 to 750 (I wont add this but some blowers come with a CAN tune)

About 4300 ^ and I added light left out a bunch! only counted labor on meth kit didn't add labor to any other parts..

Whipple 5400 - 1500 for the sale of yours..

You would be out 2500 vs 4300.00 plus room to grow both setups would need a cam for extra fueling to make good power or you could do meth for fuel not the best idea but works most of the time error free..

just food for thought.. nice to see all the angles to decide.. I have a 2650 coming my way..

not sure this helps but was watching the classifieds I saw a ported LT4 blower for 2600 it set for a long time he had to through in the 103mm to finally get rid of it..

Where can you get a Whipple 5400$. Please send me a pm if possible with some of the best deals you have found. I also do like 2650s. But that will be a waiting period.

Honestly, looking back, I would of just went straight to the Pro Charger set up. If you are on a budget, you can stay with the Lt4 blower. It's fine for up to 750-800 hp safely. If you want anything over that, go with a PC and call it a day.

But, to get the Lt4 up to the 800 hp range, you gonna spend the same amount almost that it would cost to do a PC set up so. Just save up $10k and go with the Pro Charger.

Im looking to do about 15psi 800hp safely without a cam with the stock blower. Seen a few people very close with a few less mods and people with 800whp with about the same mods i want to do.

No budget, I just want a different PD blower with this tank. I was running F1Rs on 5.0s 12 years ago. So I get it, its definitely great for max HP builds. I just want to swap the blower and be done.

I already did my own cam, LTs, CAI, IW Lower, Alky Dual nozzle, DSX low side fuel system, & E85 sensor.
