Speculation time!

Curious what everyone thinks will happen with these cars once the 2024s roll out.

I think they are going to be very hard to come by keeping values right where they are and maybe a little higher in the summer months. The only thing against this is that GM is really trying to hype up the EVs and that will muffle the end of the Camaro.

I've really never seen a car with so much performance per dollar off the line, it seems the new business model of "Order and we might build it" has really twisted the market.

So, between the end of the run before EVs take over, and arguably the best performing Camaro ever, I'm curious how people will react. I had a tesla, and it gets old fast. This M6 Camaro is really something else. But then I remember, different strokes for different folks. Not everyone cares about something like this.

I think there are examples like the e92/93 M3's. The nice ones with low miles will command good value, the rest will do okay.

I hope EV falls on its face. I would buy a v6 before anything EV. Its not green and it wont change a thing for the better. But that wasnt your question. IMO if the 24 is the last year it will probably hold the best value. I dont see it being more than any other year difference though. Time will tell but I do think they all will hold their value well.

Yeah, you kind of nailed it. I hope the EV falls on its face too. All EVs are ~5k more across the board, and ruin the environment to make them (as if anyone really cares). To top it off, they're no fun to drive. Those EV trucks can't really do truck things too well, and the EV sports cars will be quick as ****, but I don't think they will be much fun. If that makes sense. That's where people will start looking to things like this car.

My $.02... It all depends on what happens with EVs. If they do become main stream (which I do not believe will happen) gas will sky rocket and IC vehicles will become boat anchors. Only people who can afford $10/gallon gas will still own one.

Heck even right now with gas at what $4/gallon, people shy away from V8 powered vehicles for the most part.

If EVs don't become mainstream and IC is around for the foreseeable future yet... (and gas stays reasonable)... I think our cars still just depreciate at the standard rate. (Unless you have something like a ZL1 1LE)... something a bit more rare. But our run of the mill SS's... I don't think they'll be sought after.

Don't take me wrong (disclaimer note)
If a person with a modern Performance Car ,for us Chevrolet. And others Ford, Dodge, BMW M series, Super Cars ( are in a class of there own the folks who can afford , I'm sure they were not thinking about holding value , even tho they do . ) Ferrari , Lamborghini, ect.
I didn't purchase mine figuring to make a profit or hold what I paid. It was for fun. If the car in 5 years is worth on the car market 10 dollars , such as it be . As stated above I purchased for fun times. If fun times cost me 73,990 k , for 5 years or more of fun I'm good. I am not talking about or for the majority , just myself only.

If I wanted value for my Dead Presidents, I should of purchased Gold.

The powers that be will NEVER let EV die; there's too much control over your lives. A decision has been made and the juggernaut won't be stop.

I'm really tempted to get a ZLE in radiant red if there's a last MY24. But, I do have a ZO6 in accelerate yellow waiting for me in a few years and the garage can only accommodate two. Hopefully GM will do a cool send off for the Camaro.

Yup, that's the dark side people who drooled over Tesla's free software updates that improve the car didn't realize or acknowledge. The genie is out of the bottle unfortunately, currently we are only spectators in this "show".
