What do you think the 91 1LE will bring? I bought mine brand new and it only has 2,600 miles on it.

Being an FFL, I am always amazed how serial numbers / first production runs & the such do for value especially the older the item gets. I saw some article on Fox news about some new found & rare 69 camaro or vette that was valued & expected to bring $1mm at auction. It happens all the time with collectable firearms.

I'm sure it will be sold for crazy $$$$, but in the long run will be winner even though it is no different than any other 1LE made for that year...collectors are like that & having #1 off the line may not seem much to some, but down the road I reckon there will be a profit to be made on the car if it stays in like new condition.

Having said all that, getting the 50 ZL1 meant a lot to me...not that I bought it because I thought it was going to be money maker with Barrett some day. Just sorta floats my boat with the gig I'm in & heck, you never know. If it helps hold value, so be it.

I will be in Palm Beach for the auction this weekend also. I'm looking forward to seeing the ZL1 1LE in person.

I set Velocity straight on their Facebook page.

They cited dry sump oiling in their broadcast.

Quote:
Hey Everyone! Wanted to let you know that no 6th gen Camaro has dry sump oiling.

Apparently they cannot fit it into the Camaro.

The LT4 has been wet sumped for the Camaro. No dry sump on SS 1LE either.

First Produced '18 ZL1 1LE

Hi all,

I was at Barrett Jackson Palm Beach this past weekend where the first ever produced ZL1 1LE sold for $250k. It was also on display in the manufacturer display section. As stated in the video description, after taking this quick walk around video of the car I noticed Camaro Chief Engineer Al Oppenheiser was at the Chevy Booth.
