Any recommendations on ZL1 car cover?

Looking for a car cover for the zl1, was wondering if any company made better ones then others via price or material, oddly enough i've never bought a car cover before. :/

Thanks!

Unless the car and cover are perfectly clean, a car cover does more damage than good. That being said, if it's a requirement, there are plenty out there. Expect to pay between $250-$350 for a quality cover. If your keeping the car outside, be sure to get a weather proof cover. Do a google search and you will find dozens. California Car Covers is one of many good brands.

For the garage I use a very light oversize generic cover to keep the dust off.
For outdoor, like for parking it overnight at a B and B or something, I bought this Camaro specific one: COVERCRAFT® C17987GK - Evolution™ Gray Custom Car Cover with the Zgard cover clamps (around $250). I got it from Carid. It fits like a glove. The only problem is that it does not pack tight and the vert has a small trunk. But it is thick and the elastic bands at the bottom are strong. I have a convertible. I do not know if it is the same cover for the coupe.

I LOVE the oem one that came with my car. Black with subtle Camaro logos all over it, and red stitching. It’s fitted and meant for indoor use. I only put it on when the car is 90%+ Clean, and keep it in its supplied Camaro bag when not in use.

Mine came with one on the sticker but I will never use it. PM if you decide you want to buy an OEM one.

The OEM is what I would go with if I had to buy one.

This is what I bought (indoor) since I never park it outside.
I like the stretch material and its really soft and light.

Only downside is it's slippery.

Ditto...got the OEM (Black) and it is very high quality.

Also ordered the OEM Black cover with ZL1 Logos all over it when I specced my build. Amazed at the quality, nicely fitted, super soft. Better than the expensive California Car Cover ones I've bought before.

Covers only do more harm than good if your car is dirty or your cover is dirty/been contaminated by dropping on the floor etc. If you drive your car at all, DO NOT cover it before washing it, as there's going to be dirt, rubber, brake dust, etc. all over it (even if you can't see it) and the cover will pick it up, rub it on the paint and induce light swirling/scratching, and the next time you put your cover on, even if the car is white glove clean, the cover will still have these contaminates and do the same damage.

Clean, freshly washed car = Cover
ANYTHING else = No cover.

This is the one I use, but bought it for my 2013 ZL1. Fits the 2017 perfectly. It's lined with a foam material so once it's on it won't slide around, minimizing any scratching issues.

I'm buying a California car cover outdoor cover for my ZLE.

I've heard nothing but good things about them. that's who I would go with.

The parts guy at my dealership told me that several corvette guys have returned their GM covers because they had scratches from use. Might have been that the owners didn't clean their cars before covering them.

He suggested I buy from California car covers.

The Museum Rule: the less you touch a thing, the longer it lasts.

Gotta really consider what the cover is going to protect the car from. Car covers do an awful lot of touching, sliding, scraping, grinding, rubbing. So unless the alternative is worse, don't do it.

If protecting the paint from swirls and scratches really matters, put a PPF on the car first. And if you do then you probably don't also need the cover.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions, sadly it'll be outdoors in the driveway and its a weekend queen so its clean 99% of the time. The Cobra and Porsche get the garage

So get this.. what if i get a tight fitted OEM one and throw that on and then throw on a good outdoor one above it???? just a thought
