I currently use a nice set of MACS wheel tie-downs. I keep the front ones straight and cross the rears. Holds the car perfectly with limited inner/outer pressure on the front wheels and tie-rods. No issues with alignment yet.
I had the ZL1 tie-down points, used them once and haven't since then. The rears came loose, and the location of the front ones is impossible to actually reach.

Man - you SUCK!!! I have an H&H tilt bed and it has been great, but it is too steep to load the 1LE without using Race Ramps to help decrease the angle. I don't think MaxxD offers a wood floor option. Unfortunately, I use the trailer around the property to haul mulch, rock etc. That absolutely destroys a nice steel floor. Also, my trailer has to sit outside. I've done a ton of emergency rescue missions and need to get the trailer out at a moments notice. I can put it in the basement, but if the yard is wet or snowy, I can't get it out. That MaxxD is a sweet piece!!!

Sound like I'll be adding additional E Track and getting the Macs tire straps with idlers. Not cheap and it's been so long since I've done any racing, my helmet is out of date - so add that to the list.

I got mine from Autohaulersupply.com around $30.00 each. Go into the car hauler section.

You guys are talking about two different trailer manufacturers.
You got that right, but with that comes the 10k+ price |

So there are no slots in the frame on the Gen 6 cars for a t-hook?

I recently started using some hooks from Rennline which work very well. The rear one bolts right into the steel subframe bolt, and the front does the same. I did a 1500 mile trip with them on the car and they stay consistently tight. The rear ZL1addons seemed to come loose, not to mention unless your D rings are not almost directly behind the hooks, you’ll rub your straps on the exhaust. |

I use the MACS straps too. Have used this method many times for both track car (1LE) and rally car (STI). My trailer is also just barely wide enough for the 1LE. roughly 3/4 an inch gap on each side. Slow and steady with a winch is the ticket imo. Have seen no change in specs in either car. I assume the track loads are much higher than hand tight trailer straps anyway. |

Since I know the approx gap I'm just keeping to close on the side with the camera. My trailer does have ~6" vertical "walls" around the sides and front so the car won't fall off.. but a wheel might suffer if I screw it up. I plan to load/unload with my original set of 1LE wheels - one has a chip so screw them all! ha
