I doubt the new Vette will get a TTV6. The GT got the TTV6 because it was built entirely for LeMans.

I actually hope you're right and I'm wrong. I just don't see any V8's in the very near future. Again, I hope I'm wrong.

GM is working on a TTV8 for the CT6, so we know they have future V8s in development. They just patented a system for a TTV8 with cylinder deactivation.

My guess is this new "Corvette" will be another offering beyond the C7, C8... traditional Corvette. They can't walk away from their customer base. I'm thinking it will be labeled a Zora not a Corvette.
Too many secrets with GM (Chevrolet) right now, 1LE, ZL1, Z/28, Z06 and Grand Sport M7 changes...Ugh!

V8's are not going away anytime soon. Don't see a TT6 in the corvettes future.

Define soon? There are real useful POWERFUL electric cars now. The price and weight of these will come down. The range will be extended. Regulations on emissions will become prohibitive. Bye bye V8. 20 years maybe? In the grand scheme of things thats soon. And with big power coming from TTv6's I think even sooner.

Kind of surprised to hear the rumors of the 6th gen 1LE nearly matching the 5th gen z/28's lap time at laguna seca. That'll mean it'll likely be faster than the c7 z51.
As for the 6th gen Camaro lineup vs the C7 lineup, I think it'll go: SS < Z51 < 1LE < GS < ZL1 < Z06 |

On a track I would wager..
Z06 > Z28 > ZL1 > GS > 1LE > Z51 > SS Will be interesting to see how the v6 1LE stacks up against the SS around a track. |

A number of people seem to feel the C7 Grand Sport will beat the ZL1. With a 180 HP difference I wonder how they came to that conclusion?
