Heat exchanger upgrade?

How do you feel about upgrading heat exchangers and does it lower your temps noticeably? The car is a daily and does some weekend roll races from time to time.

As you can see from the photos below... the stock main HX is tiny and the system doesnt hold much fluid. I just installed it along with a 2 gallon fender tank from Synergy and expect some noticeable improvements. As soon as you start to spin the blower harder, i think this is a must. I also suggest a banks iDash guage to keep track of IAT's on the fly

Absolutely , that’s my thinking as well since I’m spinning the blower harder, even more heat.
I have a p3 gauge to monitor my e content as well as my iat . Thanks for the pics, looking good on your build man

I went with the WeaponX triple ht exchangers on my build and the engine runs as cool as stock. I do not race the car strictly street.

The weapon x setup looks nice. I wonder if anyone has tried the Speed engineering set, looks pretty cheap at 500 bucks or so for all three. Probably best to get the larger ones offered by other companies for larger capacity

I’m considering prospeed’s setup that has the heat exchanger and bigger res.

I tried finding the synergy one like above but can’t find it on their site

Late model performance has a core upgrade but not the side tanks like weapon-x. Does anyone know if there is a noticeable difference to upgrading the side tanks Vs. just the core?

Following. Wondering if I should go with either late model performance front heat exchanger and their ice tank or just the 3 WX heat exchangers for my Z. Currently has 2in headers, intake, 103 throttle body and kong ported lt4.

If you are looking for a straight-line car the ice tank is great!! Had one on my Vette.

I want the Camaro mods geared towards road racing, otherwise I'd do that very set up.

Hello guys i dont wanna start a new thread for this but i hope anybody can help me i order it before 3 months ago heat exchanger from weapon x form my camaro zl1 gen6 but still haven't received it.

Have anybody same Problem like me thats so sad If I had known I would have bought it elsewhere.

My messages are hardly ever responded to and the page says 14 days delivery time I wouldn't have any problems even with 2 months but I find it ridiculous that I'm being put off like this I don't want to open a barrel now and they want to keep 30 percent of the money if they get a refund.

thanks for your support guys tell me what i can do.

I ordered a Boost freeze chiller from them at the end of November and just got it a couple of weeks ago. That is a custom, build to order kit and I received it in about 3 months. I'm sure the heat exchangers are made to order as well, so I would think they would arrive soon. My calls with them were hit or miss, but when they did answer, they did whatever was needed to help me out. (Even with install after I got the kit). I hope this helps. They seem like a good company that wants to do right by their customers, but are just behind on work. I would give them a call.

An upgraded heat exchanger is a must for my build
HPE installed mine but won't tell me the brand. I'm upgrading my intercooler system now.
