Track Day Oil Change Question

For those of you who switch from 0-40 to 15-50 for track, do you swap the filter when going back to 0-40? Just don’t see the oil getting bad enough from one track day to ruin the filter and justify replacing lol. I’m in FL and I know a lot of people just keep the 15-50 but I’m trying to keep the GM gods happy in case it breaks lol

For $5 or $6, I wouldnt risk it. In fact, if I had to pick, I'd sooner spin on a new filter and leave the oil in if it was a hot climate.

Yeah, absolutely change the filter. You're already draining the oil and need to get under the car to do so.

I rock the 15-50 all the time. I do let the car fully warm up before giving it any heavy throttle though
