Cars acting wierd

Let me see if I can try and explain whats going on. It don't do this all the time, and only seems to do it when the car is hot and I shut it off and start it back within 5min or less. EX: So I shut the car off run in the store and come back out it acts like the battery is dead and will barely turn over. If I turn the key off for about 30sec and try again the car will just turn over. And is it does start the stabilitrak lights will come on and the air fuel will sit at 11/11.5. All the lope in the cam is gone. If you try and drive it, it has no power and will spit and pop if you give it to much throttle. I have to shut it off and let it set for about 5 to 10m and it will start back and run fine.

So to sum it up if the cars hot and I turn it off and try to start it back, it will either start and run fine or it will go to shit. It's a 50/50 chance on what will happen.

Mods: Heads, Cam, TVS2300 10psi, 60lb injectors, C.A.I., LT's, Stall, Dual Pump.

So anyone ever had a problem like this or know what it might be?

Have you scanned to see if any trouble codes have been set?

No codes and car still runs the same numbers at the track.

Sounds like a limp mode. It should show codes if it's tripping that unless your ECM is going bad...but I don't know the ecm's on these cars well enough to say for sure.

There is 4 things you should look for:

1- the tune. The cranking timing, air flow and fuel should be adjusted for heat soak.

2- check for the grounding wires if the are connected properly to the engine and engine head.

3- check the engine harness of it is pinched or damaged specially on the passenger side behind the belt tensioner.

4- check your cam sensor and crank sensor connections and if they are pinched or damaged.

I had the same problem and the correction was 1, 2 and 3 from the above. I had one ground wire was not connected, my tune was not adjusted properly for cranking (spark, air flow and fuel) and my engine harness was pinched right at the holder behind the belt tensioner keeping the harness away from the headers.

OK guess I was wrong about codes, I change the tire size in my tune every week so I guess I kept them cleared out. Any way this is what i get,

[] P0336 - Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor A Performance (Old) (Immature)
[] P2119 - Throttle Actuator Control Throttle Body Range/Performance (History) (Immature)

Then your problem is either the grounding or the engine harness. Because you have two different DTC not related to each others.

Its definitely possible I've broke a ground or pinched a wire. You know if there's a ground strap from the motor to the firewall? I could see me breaking it when I lowered the motor to get the trans bolts out.

No, only the main ground that goes to the passenger side cylinder head on the front. Then there are a few other small gauge grounds on the side and back of the heads.

What are the iat's when it acts up?

I could live with the 2119 code and try to trouble shoot it body spraying the connections with electrical cleaner. maybe switch out throttle bodies to see if that helps.

PO 336- Ive never had the Crankshaft position sensor lie. Is it pinned?

Cranks pinned. Going to look at the wiring tomorrow and see if anythings loose.
