I really hope it doesn't turn out to be a ghost product, or whatever its called when they hint at it but never officially announce its not coming because they never officially announced it is coming so it just turns into false hope. I kind of wouldn't be surprised given that we are in a "supposed" crisis.

They are local to me, I may just have to "show up" mask and all.

I'm a big TSP advocate but I would be wary to put that on a NA application, those runners are too short and you'll most likely lose power. They do have a composite Hi Ram intake in the works which I have been begging for but can't get my hands on. The MSD or development to modify the LT2 IM is your best option imo.

Will the composite Hiram fit under the hood? And did anyone get a lt2 intake yet?

I was thinking this too, the MSD has a reasonable runner length. I do like the barrel design (speed master), the problem with the design is the lack of plenum. So we are back to a LT2 like manifold. I don't know why MSD did not extend the runners further on the LT1. We can look at their atomic LS3 and see the runners go to the opposite bank (it is almost like a single throttle body cross ram).

https://www.amazon.com/Speedmaster-P.../dp/B00Z5MD0DM

The only fix is to go cross ram:https://www.jegs.com/i/Edelbrock/350...MaAtFjEALw_wcB

I would speculate, that a crossram would indeed be the NA go fast norm over the next 5 years.

For the LT2, I like it but think an aftermarket version with more plenum width (extending over the heads) would yield more power. GM has packaging issues that a LT1 Camaro intake does not have at least for the front 6 cylinders. So maybe a LT1 specific intake would need to have the runners angled forward say 15 degrees... get some outside the box thinking on the subject.

I will also say this: the ported MSD seems to work well enough given a big cam, not as well as a hi-ram, but at least it fits under the hood. Still don't why MSD did not to the LT1 intake more like their LS versions??

So people are using the LT2 manifold? I thought there were reports of it not fitting or working?

I'm not sure the MSD could be good enough over the stock manifold or gain enough power to justify its ridiculous price tag over $1200.

I don't think it will fit, it sits backwards on the C8 so I'm sure there is going to be at the very least HPFP issues. I don't think it is insurmountable. Bet the C8 manifold is not that expensive. Please let me know if anybody wants to buy one and send it to me, heck I'll even port it and see if it fits before I send it back to you.

I know the feeling but the American dollar is watered down plus our silly trade laws that pretend to be free trade allows vendors to charge way more in Murica than the exact same product in say Thailand.

hadn't seen that, thx for the heads up. it looks like it would be close, my only concern is fuel. i know of a local guy with a c8 who is planning on doing a stroker very soon. i'm trying to get a hold of the factory cyl heads. get some real info on them. i wonder if he'd let me borrow the intake manifold for a day...?

The LT2 IM physically fits but can't confirm if it clears the hood or not. You would need to tap for the brake booster fitting in the back and harness extensions for the MAP sensor. I was told the new IM is only $190 so if you are savvy with modifying stuff, it would be the equivalent to a poor mans MSD.

I'd also be wary of the back area by the cowl, but some of that is plastic.

They really could’ve done us all a service and mocked it up on a c7 and ca6 so we have some really beneficial info.
