Oil consumption, while at track days

I was at Sebring this past Friday, ran five 20-30min runs, and went through quart and a half of oil.
There is no smoke out the tail pipes, and the car runs great?
Has anyone had similar problems?

Have you owned the car since new? If so, what kind of engine break-in did you follow, if any?

Look for an aftermarket catch can..if it has one it will be part of the pcv system.

That will cause oil consumption, not having catch can?

Are you sure both times you checked it, you let it set off for at least 30 min? These engines are freaks on dip stick readings.

Did not have time at the track, was too busy, we got 6 sessions
Was running to get gas after every session. Used over half a tank in 25 min run.

I’m going to ck when I come back to Florida, before I start it. That should say it all.
You might be correct, the manual says engine holds 10qts, I put in 10qts and it looks like you need a quart more, by the dipstick

Check it and don't add more than 10, the dipstick is a reference, the 10 Quart is a firm engineering capacity limit. I missed this event due to a family issue. let me know if your there on April 24th..

I highly recommend ordering a catch can if you do not have one. It catches all the oil that would have otherwise been sucked into your intake.

I did not add a qt, just the recommended extra 1/2 qt for tracking car

I might be there, really like the track, very challenging
I ran 2:30 on only my second time there. My car is bone stock, except for Hawk pads and 1.6 neg camber F - 1.5 N, On OEM G3’s

I Saw guys doing on internet doing sub 2:30s but they might be running G3Rs

What the times do you run there

Thank you
Was not sure, how modified those sub 2:30 cars were
