BC ER Racing or Ridetech HQ

I am sick of bottoming out in the rear with my Strange coilovers. I am looking into a new coilover setup. Are there reasons I should choose one of these over the other?


I have read through a ton of threads and these seemed like some of the best choices for street and drag uses. Please feel free to add if there are better solutions. There are a lot of discussions about too stiff and too soft with many of the choices out there. That was how I came up with these two to choose from - but again please add if there are others.

I installed the Ridetechs in April, so far, so good. I would recommend them.

I went with BC-ER's, and felt that having all of the adjustability allowed for dialing the ride height and firmness.

Good question. I had peddlers super cars for four years. Spring rates same as BC. But valving was horrible and the front spring rate of 450 on bc and peddlers, while good for roadcourses, is to stiff for good ride and drags. With the stiff rates and valving its best to go smaller sway bars for best handling, not the stiffest ones you can get.

I now use ridetechs, as I couldn’t stand the lousy ride, and for ride and autocross they are the best. Spring rates can be spec’d to your application, even custom valved. Million miles warranty. If anything happens you send back to ridetech and they fix it free.
Now one thing, they like all coil overs are designed to lower the car below stock ride. The highest I could get was 1” lower then stock in the rear. For me I have it at 1-1/8” lower then stock, about highest they will go. This is fine, as any lower you can get into to much axel angle, build to much heat at high speed and wreck the axels as the boot grease liquifies and leaks out. And the boots split open. And 1 to 1-1/4” drop is best for hand so all good.
