I am not sure why more companies do not use Cam motion cores and components. How many valve train failures have you ever heard of with Cam motion stuff?...little to none is probably a safe answer.
The 224/230 for stock converter or the 227/233 115+5 with a 3200 stall would be my choice. It might be easier to control and take some stress off the drive line components if the torque hit was softened up and carried power out further. or maybe the Turbo is just a tad on the small side?

Bob from cam motion was a riot to talk to.
He says if my specs worked and I liked it, use them again. He confirmed my over lap of -7.5 and said it probably drives around and idles like stock. It does. Their 224/230 115 turbo cam is closest and would “sound like a cam” and might make more power. That cam has a over lap of -3. The next one is the one King said. 227/233 would act even more like a ‘cammed car’ with more over lap than the pervious two. Bob said “with the turbo cams, it doesn’t matter what the idle sounds like, all they hear is the whooo whooo when the turbo singing and you flying” Also, news to me is the lme front cover kit with their gear and bolt allows use of any LT cam. The lme parts replace the factory parts. It’s not a custom cam bolt design. Yes king, the turbo is on the smaller side for my Power goals.

Im on the waiting list for Katech oil pump.
Putting together a list of "Turbo" cams to bounce off my tuner. I need to order parts soon knowing its a ~4 week wait for a cam alone. I'm also trying to find untouched LT1 heads.

I'm finding a lot of parts are on back order but boxes are slowly showing up.
Still a bit undecided on Cam and I need to just choose one because it's like a 4 week turn around. Im also hearing there are going to be some great black Friday deals at TSP and GPI. LME billet front cover with single timing gear.

Have you talked to BTR, they have a stag 1 and 2 cam for FI that work really well. I ran the stage 1 cam.

I just did. They offer "blower cams" but not "Turbo cams". I'll sleep at night better thinking a cam named "turbo" will do better than a "blower" one for me.

Coda Nickyracerboy here.
Bob @ Cam Motions actually called me the other day and said some guy was building killer turbo setup and wanted LLR setup (low lash roller) and look it you! SWEEEEEET!! Guys the guy, Dave, who built Coda short block is the guy that built mine too. Wanna hear a Cam Motions solid roller at work??? |

Coda use LS3 front crank seal not LT1 on that cover.
Puta dab of grey silicone on wires that go threw cover for variable vain pump. BTW I discounted those wires and the pump runs in full pressure all the time now. |

Man these engines sound really good when they spin upwards of 7500rpm.
