Why is oil leaking here?

Ok. I have sprung a leak. Oil from the passenger side by the starter. There is something plugged in there. Oil temp gauge? Anyway, I think the leak is coming from there. Well, about 99% sure. There is no where else it could be coming from. And it is isolated to that area.

What is it? And is this a known issue? TIA

It just starting leaking out of the blue. It was when I was testing tunes and running it REAL hard. Hope I didn't mess anything up. I just need to know the part so I can replace it...

Thinks I will change my name to THREADKILLER

Should be around $50 unless you find it cheaper. Just looked up part to confirm, I know the older ones sensor looked identical but wasn't sure if they kept the same one on these motors.

No, just drain, and grab it with a big crescent or if you want, take time to find the correct size wrench then ease it out. It'll have an oring gasket on it. Its a few inches long with a float on the end of it, so straight out and don't snag the float ( which shouldnt be a big deal) then clean the area and lightly lube the oring on the new one and back in snug. It is all plastic so don't overdo it.

Is this a common problem? It's weird after only 35,000 miles something like this would happen?
