Good chatting with you Tim.

That Eaton posi sounds messed up. Like I was saying, I've run a 9" Detroit Locker and it would clank on engage and disengage.

I've heard a rumor there was a run of bad ones? I would not drive the car anymore and talk to ___ asap and get it out of the car.

HRD_WRK....you're MIA! I'm guessing by now you've either pulled the differential back out or you've been cutting some 1.5x sixty foot times. Update!

Great. Good to hear the rear end seems to be working well for you. Nice looking ride.

Made 6 rev changes to TCM. I never read anywhere that more than just a Speedo change for ECM/TCM was needed for a gear change. Wrong.
All the gears shifts needed to be dropped significantly for WOT.
During the tests, it didn't have noise issues due to no 'easy driving', except before/afterwards.

Spent weekend at track.
Sat got 6 runs. Was short pit crew so I didn't run the external fans. I tried to cool down long good enough for coolant temps but think rest was a little warm each run.
Diff worked fine-burnouts were great. No clunks at shifts.
Made one change for the 1-2, was leaving a little rpm on the table-since testing 1-2 WOT on street is fruitless even with nannies on ( good way to break any axle-wheel hop).
Shifts felt great then except 2-3 felt/still feels little long.

Sunday got 7 runs in at different track.
Didn't make changes. Wanted to just data log and get DA registered. Did glance at each log for rpm, mph at shift, coolant thru out, ait, kr. Ran half the fans in the pits due to lag time cut in half. Ran hot several times mostly due to sites staging issues ( had some choice words for mgmnt).

I need to review all the slips and compare the DA (was 2500-3000) to the Florida LSX logs. My initial thoughts are that the 370 gear change, although got me higher into 4th at the line, didn't overall gain me much now-which I am disappointed (but subject to DA comparison).
I am gonna review the rpm/mph at finish-still think the 370 will put me where I want to be in the future.
I only had about 6 passes on the prior new setup before the Differential gear and Eaton work, at a true elevation of 15' vs 1100'. I certainly wouldn't say the TCM is at final setup. I'll provide an other update after several more sessions.

Overall if all I fixed was a one wheel burnout forever and have to deal with the slack noise-I'm ok with that.
Some pics for getting dialed in to my 12.5 index class.
Two runs within 15 thou....I think you're dialed! Now you just need some .020 or so reaction times and it's wally time.
